The dishes are satisfying. Except that one of the waitresses dared to tell me in front of my children and my wife that my tip was insufficient. While by definition tipping is not obligatory. I do not recommend this restaurant, because one of the waitresses is disrespectful to customers. The worst part is that she wasn't the one who served me. I honestly do not recommend this restaurant.

The first time I went there about six months ago it was delicious and when I returned, it was awful. A place that is not consistent. Does not get my business again again.

I reserved a table on line and never received a response. Then tried calling and left a message with again no response. Had dinner tonight and highly disappointed. Staff not trained and sushi sub par, not even close to the quality of sushi shop. Also the menu is still under Mikado. When I asked to speak to the Manager, I was told he was off doing deliveries. This place will not survive in Monkland village. I will never go back.

This place is a hidden gem.
After our trip in Japan
This is the One that we found the most similar to tradition restaurants we ate in Japan, quality and artistic plates.
It also had many choices for all tastes
price is very reasonable for that kind of quality.
Atmosphere is very nice: Zen and relax,
Very friendly service and respectful. We can tell they take pride in making this dishes.

We ordered take out. Pleasant service. The sushi and sashimi are excellent and not too expensive.

I am someone who eats and prepares sushi often. I decided to try Kiku while taking a walk on Monkland as other restaurants are closed on a Monday. To my surprise the prices on the outside display did not match the prices on the menu. I did mention this to the waitress. I ordered the combo platter with sushi, sashimi & maki. Yes I asked not to have shrimp or tamago. Received 2 very basic rolls…4 hosomakis to my surprise. Sushi & sashimi was cut so thin and small. Only 4 varieties of fish for a 28 piece platter.

Great experience overall, all food js well served with good quality and quantity and very fair prices. Location is very good as well, and possible to find nearby parking places.
I would definitely recommend it!

I ate properly. The place is a bit cold in terms of atmosphere. The choice is wide.
