Sammi & Soupe Dumpling - (Plateau)

Hands-down my #1 dumpling destination. The dumplings are served hot, fresh and tasty. The dough tastes fresh & uniquely made. Absolutely love the texture on them.

I learned a new way to eat soup dumplings here!

Not to forget -the staff is accomodating, friendly and respectful.

Been here twice and will be frequenting it again. Highly recommend!!

very fresh and delicate. sauce is the same as my moms, very nostalgic. the flavours are bursting into my mouth, u can never get tired of it. fast and great service, though i had to ask if my order was ready. went there before it got popular, nothing changed. would eat there everyday if i could.

Service was extremely fast when we came at around 8pm on a Tuesday. We got a dumpling in 5-10 min. We ordered the classic pork (13$+tax) and the pork with snow crab (18$+tax). The dumplings were good but not exceptional.

It gets busy after 12 and I’m glad we were there before the rush hour. Service was quick and friendly.

Very much enjoyed our meal here. Seaweed salad was flavorful and a great portion size for two people. The peanut butter wontons were our first time trying them and we really liked them.
The pork, shrimp, and scallop xiao long bao were very very good, and we also had the beef and curry pan fried dumplings. They’re good but the xiao long bao are better so get more of those.
Cute location and great service too.

Lovely restaurant and good atmosphere, our waitress recommended the scallop soup dumpling and sweet pork for the kids, and we definitely enjoyed both of them.

Pretty cute location on the plateau. The terrace is nice in the summer. The service was really quick and professional. The food was a bit lacking though. Compared to other Sammi locations in Montreal, I felt the Xiao Long Boas were less tasty. We had the same ones I usually order, porc shrimp and scallop, as well as the shrimp corriander. The seaweed salad on the other hand was really fresh and satisfying.

Compared to other Asian restaurants this is just an Ok place for a quick bite. A bit pricy for quality and quantity of food. Also tables for two are fairly tiny, there is barely any space for being comfortable (I guess it is by design so people don’t stay for too long). Overall, after my visit, I was surprised that this place had that many 5 star reviews.

Sammi Soup Dumplings is hands down the best dumpling spot in town! I especially love their lamb & coriander dumplings and the scallop & shrimp ones; always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Even when ordered through delivery, the quality is consistently excellent. Everything arrives hot, tasty, and just as good as eating it on the spot. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious dumplings in Montreal, this place is unbeatable. Highly recommend!
