I cannot really say I ever understood the appeal of coffee shops, sitting there for hours on a computer, sipping a drink. Given I am not a coffee drinker, but we stopped by on a rainy day as we needed an outing. Everything was fairly good, the hot chocolate, the juices and snacks for the kids. But similar to any other chain. My main issue is that I asked for a glass cup, I cannot believe that everyone, even when eating in, has a throw away cup, but turns out, there are no glasses, you must take a throw away cup and there is no incentive to bring your own mug or thermos (if you are even allowed). Plus there is no recycling or compost. I really hate when leading companies chose to do nothing, when others chose to lead change. And all these coffee shops are the same. Thus until this changes, I do not think I will enter another chain coffee shop, Second Cup or other.

I have a complaint related to the atmosphere. The staff who were in charge of organizing the table had made with lot of noise and were disturbed without the people reading a book or having a conversation with each other!

Second cup usually rates better however this one is a dump, 1 bathroom been closed for many months, place is far from clean and just looks run down. If you are going to sell premium product then at least clean up the place. There has been no improvements in the last year.

I ordered an ice latte and the owner of the store is making my drink and instead of making a shot of espresso he make a cold brew with milk. First the taste is very different and the price is also different. so i was charged for a latte and got a cold brew with

Literally can’t understand how this place is still open. It is absolutely disgusting. Pastries are not just stale but literally permeated with mould as this cookie I just bought. There is never enough staff, and those who are there are barely concerned with serving the customers and never seem to be able to make a latter even just barely correctly. Bathrooms are gross beyond words. And the most shocking thing is this place has been this way for years. I rarely make reviews but this is a case that just begs for it. So bad.

Low on battery in my Chevy Volt, I pulled up to the Monkland Second Cup expecting just your average coffee - I mean, how different could these franchise locations be? What I didn’t expect was such a warm, caring atmosphere. I was greeted with a smile by Jacob, who proceeded to make me laugh multiple times as I was ordering. The staff then prepared a truly delicious cappuccino for me and handed it to me with a “here you go Evan, have a wonderful day!”There are lots of books here for entertainment and things to entertain the kids, the playlist was perfect, and the atmosphere was so lovely that I just didn’t want to leave. My favourite cafe in Montreal!

The store is flaming hot, no A/C, melted bakery items and baked product is old and stale, changed the item twice yesterday and gave up. Went in today to think they changed the bakery items after knowing how old they are but again stale. And then the guy working there had so much attitude and was super rude when explaining things about the drink, there’s always to ways to say things. He chose to be a goof on this day.

Very nice location! I don’t order coffee out very often so didn’t really know what I want but I went twice in one day and had a great experience. In the morning the owner and his son greeted me and helped me order and made a great drink. In the evening the service was great as well and got another good drink recommendation. Will definitely visit again when I’m in town ?

First let me say second cup has the best mocha anywhere and I like that it is a Canadian business. Having said that the lady with glasses who just served me was so lazy and she gave me an iced drink when I did not want iced. I ordered a large mocha. Mocha by default is warm and today is a rainy day. I said “can I have a large mocha”, she said hot or iced? Why ask that? It’s rainy and I ordered a mocha by default it’s warm. She also did not give me my receipt as well. Terrible glasses lady with dark hair you should get a different job and maybe a brain transplant. Also this is like the third time they are out of breakfast sandwiches. No whipped cream either for 3 days so far.
