“Premier essai aujourd'hui pour deux : on a pris la soupe Pho Tai #10 et le poulet sauté à la citronnelle #33 et c'était vraiment trop bon. Le boeuf de la pho est vraiment tendre et les saveurs du #33 étaient immédiatement excellentes et au dessus de nos attentes à la première bouchée. “Checked out Bun Mam Ninh Kieu for a late weekday lunch. Food came out incredibly quick. A lot of hard to find dishes on their menu (bun oc, bun cha ca, banh khot, banh bot loc).

- Banh xeo ($17.00) - probably the best Vietnamese crepe I’ve had in a long time. Two large crispy portions with bean sprouts, shrimp, pork, onion and the usual side accompaniments
- Bun mam ($17.00) - shrimp, BBQ pork, fish, squid, eggplant and okra. Broth had good depth; liked the funky, slightly pungent flavour“

“I ordered takeaway tonight from a spot on St-Denis in Montreal and was pleasantly surprised. I went with the large pork wonton soup (10 dumplings) and the hot & sour cucumber salad — all for $17.22, which I found very reasonable for the area.

The soup was flavorful without being too salty, and the seaweed pieces added a nice touch. The cucumber salad was also fresh and tasty, though personally, I would have preferred a lighter hand on the garlic (you'll see what I mean in the photo).

The interior of the restaurant is simple but clean. It was a quiet Tuesday evening, so the small terrace hadn’t been set up, which was a bit of a letdown. That said, the service was friendly and quick — always a plus.“

“I had the grilled pork with rice. The taste was spot on when compared to the better local Vietnamese restaurants. The price was reasonable too.

They can improve on 2 items
1) in the meat dish, the pork chops were very thin. Almost hot pot meat thickness. Doubling the thickness and adjusting the price would make sense. It shows the effort they spent to cut the chops so thin

2) we sat in the middle aisle. During a cold day, the cold air rushes in and some of the guests kept their coats on while eating their food. I don't think they can do too much now. In hindsight, the pair of double doors should have been installed with an offset.“

This particular location can get really busy so there has been numerous errors i. my order, and I’ve waited quite long to even order at times. Other than that, a great place overall.“

“Best salad you’ll
ever eat once you try you’ll be addicted and the brownies are just heaven. I’ve had the peanut satay salad, the grilled tuna salad, and the veggie protein power bowl. Peanut Mock Chicken that is in the peanut satay salad wasn’t the same from one time to the next though bit of a disappointment on that aspect but overall best salad hands down. Of course comes with a price tag but well deserved l’d say Mandy’s is to Québec what La Durée is to France.“
