Quick lunch, not fresh salmon as expected. More like smoked salmon.
Rice was tasteless.

Okay look, the food is great. One of the best sushi spots I’ve had, especially for a chain. HOWEVER, the service is terrible. It always takes forever to order because they are trying to do other orders, and one you do order, they tell you 20 minutes. In my experience, it’s much more like 45. There’s always at least 2 groups waiting for food because there aren’t enough people working, which means that it takes absolutely forever. I understand that there’s usually only 1-2 people working, but then don’t say 20 minutes when it’s over double that wait time.

They didn’t speak French or English and wouldn’t accept the sushi shop loyalty card…

I recently dined at this Sushi Shop, a company I’ve always admired since its founding in 2000. Supporting local businesses is something I value deeply, and I’ve always been fond of Sushi Shop’s creative take on Japanese cuisine. The food, as always, did not disappoint.
However, my recent experience was overshadowed by poor service. The older lady serving had a very dry demeanor, showing little to no understanding or care for customer needs. Her attitude was not only unwelcoming but quite frustrating, which took away from the overall experience.
While I continue to appreciate the great food and proudly support this local gem, I hope the management addresses the issue with service, as it significantly impacts the otherwise excellent reputation of this Montreal-based restaurant.

Move on, big disappointment! The cream cheese supposed to be in Philly is non-existent so no point, Tokyo is supposed to contain truffle oil, also non-existent!! The salmon combo was awful, defrosted salmon, tasteless and not pretty! Lots of very dense rice. Sushi show is no longer what it used to be and I will never recommend them!! It's not worth it anymore!! If I could give 0 stars I would gladly do so!

Go on your way, you will definitely be disappointed!

I ordered the Combo Azur which is around 40$+ for 26 pieces and all I got was mostly rolls of different sizes with avocados and cucumbers. I understand that it’s Chefs Choice but it really doesn’t look like the picture advertised.

I never do reviews but I strongly advise against this Sushi Shop. I placed an order for carryout on a Saturday evening and was given a salmon poke bowl with thawed, grainy, mushy salmon. It was despicable. A sushi restaurant that serves defrosted salmon is unacceptable.

I recently tried a poke bowl from this place, and I must say it was a letdown. The rice was so densely packed that it felt like I was trying to excavate a rice mountain rather than enjoying a balanced meal. To make matters worse, the watery cucumbers diluted the sauce, creating a bland and unappetizing blend. It's disheartening when a dish that promises freshness and vibrancy falls short in both texture and flavor. I won't be returning anytime soon.
