Ordered through Uber. Probably the worst so called Chinese food I’ve ever had. Obviously the kitchen staff was away for the holidays. This used to be a relatively decent establishment when they were on Victoria. Downhill woukd be a generous description! Pass!

I ordered a tofu vegetable stir fry.
No effort was made to flavor the tofu.
It was simply cut into cubes as white and bland as when it came out of the package. A sauce barely there.
The veggies were fresh though but sparce. The spring roll was good.
Select a protein other than tofu. Back in the day the tofu dish was much more interesting.

One of the best Asian restaurants in town. The peanut butter dumplings and General Tao are to die for. They are so busy when we went, but the staff were still amazing. My go place from now on.

I went to Tao at the request of a friend who knows me to be knowledgeable about Chinese food and maybe for my company.I reviewed the menu on Google and designed a menu that might preempt the old traditional choices of the people attending. It worked, the ordering confusion was minimal.Service was pathetic. We literally had to beg for our food after seven rounds(exaggerated) of water. Every dish had the same characteristics, overcooked, lacking in discernable flavor and small quantities served on large plates at not cheap prices. Some of my friends loved the food perhaps because of the dishes that were new to them.I can't say the same!!

I wish I could say a good review about this place, but unfortunately, I really can't. There was only one waiter for the whole restaurant so the food was coming out very slowly. There was a bug in my water and I didn't even get an apology for it. When the food came, it was cold and the portions were very small. The wonton soup tasted like a pile of salt and the wontons were very hard. I came home not feeling well at all from the food. For all of this, the food is very overpriced. I 100% do not recommend this restaurant.

I ordered from their catering service and I was very happy with it. There were a host of allergies that we needed to be mindful of (particularly soy), and Tao managed to make good Chinese food without soy! Guests liked the food so much that they said they were going to visit the restaurant in person. I was quite impressed, and will do business with them again.

Vegetarian options: They were good

Dietary restrictions: They managed to make many Chinese dishes without soy!
