Don't let the looks of the place fool you, these are very good sushi at an affordable price. The rice is correctly seasoned and their futomaki recipes are surprisingly delicious. My favourite? Glad you asked: Spicy Hamachi (the big one), Dynamite and Kamikaze. The owners are always smiling and oh so friendly.

Adorable and attentive owners who know how to put you at ease. On the other hand, very long waiting time (even if taken away) around 35 minutes for 30 sushi when there was no one else in the restaurant, which reduces the customer experience a little. Otherwise good and fresh sushi. Good value for money!

I randomly stopped here to use the washroom, ended up trying out their fresh spring rolls. I must say I eat a lot of south east Asian food and this has to be my top pick for what Ive tried on their menu so far!I will definitely be coming back!!

It was our first time in this restaurant. Although the owners are very nice, the dishes are unfortunately not great.

At first, the menu seems disorganized, offering both sushi and Vietnamese pho, while selling groceries and also appearing to serve as the owner's home. When we arrived, no one guided us to our seat and no drinking water was provided. The ordering process was also very confusing.

After a lot of effort to place our order, the wait was long to the point that we started to wonder if the kitchen was really preparing our meals. When the food was finally served, there was sauce on the edge of the plates, which made us fear for the hygiene of the restaurant. The owner hurriedly gave us a drink, which looked like it had already been used. When we asked for a new drink, his response was clearly impatient. Additionally, the pho we ordered was not authentic and the lemon was only provided after our request, in a very small quantity.

However, it wasn't these issues that upset us the most. When paying, due to our reasonable requests regarding the table, the owner started questioning us about our origins. His words and attitude were clearly discriminatory. This made us angry and we chose to leave immediately. This was without a doubt the worst restaurant experience we have ever had.

Tataki is a small shop owned by a wonderful couple making wonderful family friendly sushi and asian food. It is our go to place when around Duluth and very nicely make for days when cooking sounds like a chore, and one of those gems hidden in Le Plateau that we will always recommend for a take-out or quick stop.

This place was a colossal disappointment. The male owner's behavior was unsettling, bordering on creepy. He seemed to be lording over the female owner, handling the dishes so recklessly that one even hurt my girlfriend's hand. The dishes were nowhere near clean, and the food was just passable, especially compared to the numerous top-notch Vietnamese and sushi spots in Montreal. The real shock came as we left, visibly dissatisfied - he had the audacity to hurl racially charged insults at us. Looking back, the glowing reviews here seem suspiciously disconnected from our experience. People should be fully aware of what they're stepping into at this establishment.
