Wouldn’t serve me, said they would only serve us “mocktails” even though I was not intoxicated. Just couldn’t walk down the steps in heels which is reasonable in a dark stairwell.. If the hostess had even said it respectfully that would’ve been a different story. She was absolutely terrible. Said to come back next time, even though I was a tourist visiting Montreal for the first time. Safe to say I won’t be recommending this place.

Typical speakeasy with the hidden entrance next to El Pequeno. Creative cocktails were complex and unique.

Did Canada have prohibition? Cool speakeasy even if not entirely historically accurate!!

I wrote 3 for food because they don’t sell more than 5 small snacks like olives , nuts etc

Really cool speakeasy craft cocktail bar with very skilled bartenders. It can be a little hard to find, but all you do is ring a doorbell and wait for staff to come and add you to a waitlist. In the meantime there is a pre-bar to the main bar next to the entrance.

I got the Smoking Gun, Joe Peachi, and then an Espresso Martini. And my sister and I both got their long sleeve T-shirts. They’re all balanced and decorated well. The menu also has descriptions for each drink. And they have some non-alcoholic mocktails too!

It’s got a very cozy vibe despite the juxtaposition of a boiler room/cellar aesthetic, and the bathrooms are pretty cool!

Also, I pulled Narita Brian in Uma Musume during her banner event with one roll, so you know this is a lucky spot! Definitely coming back next time I’m in Montreal and gets a big recommendation for all my Mixology friends.

Beautiful little hidden gem, with old beautiful details. It's one of a kind cocktails experience, a must have. They ask you questions about our tastes, then they crate a mix for you. We loved every drink. I highly recommend

“I wasn’t really a fan of my drink, but the staff was super friendly and replaced it for free. They were great!”

Hidden spot with a cool good backstory (used to be cold storage area), themed after a crime gang clean up squad and connection to sister bars. Stopped here after visiting Bisou Bisou to check out their selection. Arrived to a line at an unmarked door, greeted and walked down a set of steps into a dimly lit space.

Two things rubbed me the wrong way/I disliked at the start - first, despite arriving as a couple and at entry asking for a seat for 2 - the same hostess somehow mistakenly pairs us with another “melanated couple” walking in behind us - I politely responded that I did not know these people and that we’d sit at the bar. Second, the snack menu included sour candy - I asked if they make the sweets or store bought them - the bartender points to a large glass jar on the bar and jokingly says “I mix cocktails not make candy” Yea ok I thought it’s not unheard of to make candy; you’re in here making craft cocktails and syrups etc (that’s cooking baby not just mixing drinks - add a little gelatin, you got “candy”). Rude but I moved past it… then she served the candy in a rocks glass that was just rinsed so the candy got wet. Not good.

The overall menu was cute and playful. Like the sister restaurant each drink lists the ingredients plus flavor profile and they have some classics. Nothing too special about presentation - no garnish and duck themed paper coasters.

Husband was vibing on the music (90s hip hop) and quirky atmosphere so we stayed for 1 drink. Ordered a corpse reviver II and a Sallerac. Both great!

Towards the end of the bar, past the hellish looking restroom, a short staircase takes you out the backside to exit. Fun little adventure.

Great drinks & awesome staff! As first time visitors to Montreal, they not only made us delicious drinks but recommended other places to visit while we were here. A must visit!

Fun speakeasy because you get to press a button to get in. The music was a lot of fun. Crowded and boozy drinks. Took a while for us to order and get our drinks. Interesting crowd.

Went to Coldroom last night with my bf and we loved it. The drinks were amazing, the vibe was super cool, kind of underground and dimly lit. Our server Evelyn was really attentive and friendly. We will be back next time we’re in Montreal!
