The place was loud. The service was very nice and the staff were amazing. The food at all stages was sub par, cold, and were un satisfying portions. Tack this on with everything being overpriced; I would not recommend eating here as this place tries too hard to be something it is failing at.

We ordered the seven-course Tasting Menu with wine pairing. The service was very slow making the dinner last 4-hours. Our server, Eve, spent most of her time re-filling our water glasses. The venue was a bit dated. Finally, the design of the coffee cup with no handle, delivered at the end of the meal, was just plain silly.

The service is impeccable! For our part, we chose the food and wine pairing. We wanted to taste new sought-after flavors. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by our kitchen experience. We have no problem paying for a good dinner, but the flavors were not there. Out of 7 services, 2 had a great effect on us. The disappointment scale. We don't plan to go back, however, we believe that if we had opted for the a la carte menu we might have enjoyed our experience more.
Really unsatisfactory meal. Lacked soul, flavor, and salt. Only made it through 4 of the 7 course tasting before deciding it wasn’t worth choking down, and that was 2 hours in to our reservation.

This was the fourth time we came. Previous visits were in 2016, 2017 and 2019, if I remember correctly, and we had excellent memories. This time, we came with a couple of friends for whom it is the first visit to Montreal. Our expectations were therefore high. No complaints about the quality of the food or the service, very professional, but we had to wait almost two hours to receive our starter. We were placed in the area below, not very glamorous and not very romantic (to be avoided). So we were a little disappointed by the atmosphere and decor. As dining at Toqué is not a trivial experience, we will think twice before returning.

We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. The marriage of flavors, the quality of the food, worthy of the greatest gourmet restaurants in the world!
