What an incredible experience! From the momment we arrived until the momment we departed, we were always dealt with a welcoming smile . The food was a wonderful blend of textures, aromas, and tastes. Both the smoked mussels toast and the Tokyo turnips were delicious. My hanger steak melted in my mouth..cooked to perfection. The chicken dish was filled with delectable flavors! And Coconut Cream tart..incredible.Will definitely be back
Excellent service. Lovely ambience. Just too noisy. So hard to talk at the table. Serving sizes very small. But food is delicious
This spot continues to impress. The food is always seasonal, beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff welcoming and knowledgeable, the decor classic and the ambiance perfect. Well done.
Each and every dining experience at Tuck Shop is better than the last - 10/10 - can't wait to go back!!
Ambiance was amazing, service was incredible however the food was very salty. Overall it was good however a little concern is without the salt how is the taste? Did they add salt to give it taste? I will be going back to try for sure and give it a second shot
one of my best meals this year in montreal and i have had a few good ones. we were late due to the insane traffic but after texting them Marco the GM already knew my drink of choice and had it waiting for me at our table!!!! You just cant beat that level of customer service!!! we ate all the app which were extraordinary!! Japanese turnips totally blew us away, heirloom tomatoes with puff rice was full of dimensional tastes !! super fresh tuna melted in your mouth, zucchini flowers were airy and perfect, some of the best oysters that we've had, imported scallops from japan were good but a tad over cooked for my palate, our Cod was on point with some highly inventive pickled pears !!! loved our pasta dish which were clearly hand made ! we are never disappointed with the food and the 1st class service. Yes it was a bit lout for us old folk ( lol ) after 8pm but that was expected we were basically done by then, never hesitate to grab s table you will not be disappointed!!!
Please, please, please. Please introduce some sound deadening material in the room. The walls and ceiling are all hard surfaces. Even the large pieces of art on the walls had hard surfaces. We were a table of 4 and it was so loud that we could not hear the person across from us without cupping our ears and leaning in. That does not make for a relaxed dining experience. There was only one wine/drink list offered to us. It was awkward as we had to wait one-by-one for our turn at the list. Could you not provide 4 drink lists, or at least two, for a table of 4? The food was good, but none of the 8 dishes were memorable. The menu is extremely limited so I feel the dishes should "wow" since there might not be something that actually grabs your interest. The bluefin tuna appetizer that I had was attractive, but the fish itself was tasteless. Service was not impressive. I am not sure whether it was due to lack of staff or lack of training. I had to wait at the door for several minutes for someone to return to seat our group. One server (who I am sure had good intentions) swept past and grabbed the wine bottle off our table without checking whether it was empty (it wasn't). Our server suggested that, since the hanger steak that evening was quite large, it could be split between two of us. Great idea. But when the steak came there was only one plate. We asked for a second plate and were told "sure", or "right away", or something reassuring. Several minutes later, with the steak and frites getting cold, we had to flag down another server and ask again for a second plate. This time it did arrive promptly. Service was slow. I don't blame the kitchen - food came out quite quickly. But dirty dishes sat on our table for way too long. The plates from our main courses were there so long that we finally stopped someone and asked them to take them away. The restaurant was half empty at that point so the servers were not too busy.
The waiter forgot to order our main course. We waited for about 40 minutes between our appetizer and our main course. Tuck Shop used to be a top-notch restaurant :(
Excellent service, the food is delicious; a fine balance of different flavours made with quality ingredients. Can't wait to go back!
A favorite stop each time we are in the city. We love the thoughtful menu and the care taken with each dish. This time we really enjoyed Tokyo turnips and Hokkaido scallops as well as expertly crafted cocktails and mocktails. Looking forward to a return trip.

Service was great and fun until the waiter asked me why I don't speak French:( I don't go out for dinner to be asked that question
I love this restaurant- the food is amazing, the staff is fantastic, the ambience is awesome.
Warm, friendly, and attentive staff. Food is great and a good value. It's fairly quiet early in the evening but gets louder as the night goes on.
Great food, wonderful service. The menu is small and changes regularly according to what's in season and available. Highly recommended!
