Tried the new poutine and was underwhelmed by the poutine itself. The fries are usually amazing but in poutine format less so.

It was quite unique to receive the poutine in a pizza box along with the fork, I really liked that.

Parking is very limited. Probably best to take out.

There is still seating within the place and there is a screen that indicates how long until the order is served which is a very nice touch.“

I didn't even know there were any places making old-school subs like this any more, but Velos, which apparently has been around since the late 1960s, is as old-school as they come. “The best BEST for place for pizza. I’ve been ordering here for more that’s 3 years. I like to test out pizza places first by asking for a simple margaritha or cheese pizza and I did with them and it was AMAZING. Good balance of sauce, cheese, and crust (they know exactly how I want my crust because they asked me, so that’s another plus). I then started ordering other things off the menu and it’s really delicious, you can tell they make it right then and there and put care into. I recommend them to everyone in the neighborhood.“

We have been ordering from this restaurant countless tines and have never been disappointed. The delivery is always prompt and the drivers are courteous. The quality of their meals is always excellent, especially their thick crust pizzas and the variety of pastas, in particular their lasagna with italian sausage (my wife's favourite!). I would describe their food like this :

calzone 5/5 - I ask for chilli on the side with mine.

pizza 4/5 -- not partial to saute onion, but still good- some like it

ambiance -- 5/5 clean and owner is always ready to talk about his pics with rock and roll legends.

P.S. Takeout orders mean zero tipping, stop giving us the option. This creates discomfort for customers and you because you think that people don't want to tip you. If we judge that tipping is necessary we will give you a few things but putting the option when I go to pick up my order is not correct and does not make you want it. We pay for our gas to get there and we use our personal cars.

If you are not satisfied with your salary, talk to your manager or director so that you can be paid accordingly.
