The atmosphere here is great! We enjoyed some fancy cocktails and mixed drinks on a Thursday night. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to us. We didn’t leave until almost 2am on a Thursday. Nice to have some night life within the hotel mid week. We would return for drinks again during our next visit. Highly recommend!

Great discovery, the waiters/waitresses were really nice and welcoming. On the other hand the prices are sick, $41 for 1 glass of wine ?!!!! Wow.... But still a great experience!!

The cocktails are the highlight at 1608 and the small bites are also delightful! The dip board has a lovely beet hummus and purple potatoes chips for the vegans present. The focaccia can be made without cheese as well ?

The 1608 is an experience to share with quality friends. Pierre-Olivier, waiter and mixologist, knew how to prepare unique and classic drinks with class. Do not hesitate to ask this specialist for an unparalleled experience.

We were staying at the Fairmont and this bar has been the best part of our stay... Beautiful decor, we were staying right next to a fireplace, very friendly staff and I also loved my cocktail. The Little snacks the brought us were also good so honestly nothing to complain, just a nice moment.

You simply need to stop here. Absolutely beautiful bar located inside the Hotel Frontenac with gorgeous views of the water and amazing cocktails. Meat and cheese board was also outstanding.

The duck croquette is delicious! A must-try! Also, don't miss out on the 'Après ski' cocktail – it's superb!

The service when opening is not very organized and not very friendly. They open at 4 p.m. and at 3:58 p.m. there was a line up of 20 + people behind their “velvet rope”Instead of starting to seat people they make you wait and then at 4 p.m. they are still scrambling around and there was no one ready to seat people. When they finally started to seat you, you cross their velvet rope which is wide enough for only 1 person to cross at a time. Why not have a few hosts ready to do so. My mother had been the day before and they asked her to wait. She crossed their « velvet rope » and they told her to get back behind the rope. It’s as if they are worried you are going to stampede in. Just a very snooty vibe. However the atmosphere and vibe once seated is very warm and cozy.Expect to pay $35 (including tip) for a glass of white Riesling.

Replace or retrain the staff. Service is terrible. Bar doesn’t open until 4pm. Ridiculous for such a hotel. They opened late. The hostess was crass and rude. Did not get drinks for over 30 minutes. When I ordered a sherry the waiter discouraged me from ordering it saying the only sherry they had was not very good. Waiter did not check up on us for over 30 minutes and this is a tiny bar. No excuse for such deplorable service at such a prestigious hotel.

Not a bad spot. A bit stuffy and pretentious. Can’t beat the old world charm though.

Great spot to drop in when visiting the Frontenac. They don’t take reservations so it can be a wait. The entrance is shared with their other restaurants so getting your name down was hectic and confusing. We weren’t sure who to talk too, so just go up to whoever looks like a hostess and ask how to get a table. The cocktails are pricey but definitely worth it. They are extremely well balanced and unique. Whether you like strong liquor or light drinks, they’ll have something for you. Our server was helpful and polite. If you sit towards the back, you’ll get a nice view of the river.
