Place Dufferin Reviews
The Brunch buffet, The food was good, service was 5 star Michelin, excellent atmosphere.
Huge variety of food.
Deserts were 5 star, meats were 3-4 star, sides were good.
Service and atmosphere justify the price... the food does not.
We got a better chicken meal the night before for a fraction of the cost.

We had high tea and it was a very nice experience at a reasonable price (for high tea.) The staff were very accommodating in setting us up with a nice table and the atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. The food and tea were very good and of excellent quality and presentation. The only downside is that their waitstaff seem stretched thin across too many tables, making it hard to get assistance when needed. I am always so used to have walked by that restaurant looking in and I had never actually set foot inside. I was more than pleased the place was just splendid. Like the sign says at the entrance it was quite a magical vacation moment...The melted Brie kind of stole my heart but I also enjoyed the traditional breakfast food... Could not try it all but wow experience totally. Nespresso was more than welcome!

Place Dufferin offers a delightful afternoon tea experience with grand scones and Devonshire cream. The restaurant features a breakfast buffet with a good selection of hot options, including omelettes and pastries, along with fresh bread. The hot chocolate is plentiful and well topped up, making the meal satisfying. Customers often enjoy the delicious pastries, including sweet crepes and tasty sausages, as well as fresh fruits and viennoiseries. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful surroundings that enhance the overall experience. Guests can walk through halls with archival photos, adding a charming touch to their visit. The staff, including attentive waiters, are friendly, helpful, and courteous, providing excellent service. Although some visitors noted that their seating was in a separate room, which affected the overall ambiance, the staff, including Vincent and Admir, were professional and made guests feel at ease. Chefs are available to prepare food to personal preference, contributing to the enjoyable ambiance. The unique 125th anniversary tea sets add a special touch to the afternoon tea. While the tea menu is lovely, offering both sweet and savory options, some guests found it to be heavy on sweets compared to savory choices. Beverages like the single glass of champagne and local apple juice are highly recommended. Overall, this restaurant combines good food, friendly service, and a charming setting, making it a highlight of a stay in Quebec City.
