“We decided to grab some pizza on our first night in QC. I’ve had all kinds of pizza so I knew what Neapolitan style was. It’s a bit too floppy to hold like a tavern style or a NY style. I like to either use a knife and fork or fold it then eat it. It’s meant to be soft in the middle (focus is on the flavor) and the crust is supposed to be chewy. Just a little chewy. We ordered the pizza burrata mortadella e pesto and la Barcelona. Both items were excellent. I really enjoyed the pesto, herbs, and mortadella. The Barcelona was equally as good with the chorizo iberico and the manchego cheese.

Honesty, this would be a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. However, the service on 9/18/26 after 8:30 pm was very slow. It took her awhile just to come back and take our order (I wanted to place my order ASAP because they close at 10 pm). Then again when we needed a box and our check. I didn’t like that our waitress mostly disappeared. I understand this is common among French Canadian and European culture. This is a cultural difference. I’ll still give a 4 out of 5.“

“We visited Sept 21, 2025 for dinner. It was absolutely perfect. The location in the old port area was vibrant and beautiful. The service was great and the food was creative and exceeded our already high expectations based on other reviews. I was hesitant to go there because I’m not a big fan of rabbit, their specialty, but I gave it a try. We had the rabbit rillettes appetizer and rabbit pot pie and rabbit poutine for mains. It was all just amazing! The atmosphere on the heated porch was cozy too! La pin Sauté gets my highest recommendation!“

“Had the omakase at Eddie Sushi Bar a couple weeks back with friends and the uni was some of the freshest I've had outside Japan. Our server walked us through every piece without being pretentious about it, which made the whole thing feel relaxed instead of stuffy. The dining room has this nice low hum to it around 7pm, not too loud, perfect for actually hearing each other talk. We ended up staying almost three hours just ordering more rounds because nobody wanted to leave.“
