Had the omakase at Eddie Sushi Bar a couple weeks back with friends and the uni was some of the freshest I've had outside Japan. Our server walked us through every piece without being pretentious about it, which made the whole thing feel relaxed instead of stuffy. The dining room has this nice low hum to it around 7pm, not too loud, perfect for actually hearing each other talk. We ended up staying almost three hours just ordering more rounds because nobody wanted to leave.
Stopped by at Eddie Sushi Bar last Saturday afternoon between shoots around Old Quebec and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything tasted. The salmon tataki had this perfect smoky sear on it that I almost didn't want to eat it before taking a photo. Our server was genuinely friendly and didn't rush us even though we camped out at our table for almost two hours chatting and eating. Small spot so it filled up fast, but worth squeezing in if you can grab a table early afternoon.
We stopped by Sunday morning before the crowds hit and got seated right away with our two kids in tow, which is always a win. The California rolls and the salmon nagiri were fresh and the kids actually ate their edamame without a fight for once. Staff brought over crayons and paper for the little ones without us even asking, which made the wait for food completely painless. Parking behind the building was easy too, so in and out with a stroller was no hassle at all.
