“If you want to impress, it’s definitely the place to be, especially if you love meat. The service is truly 5 star, very attentive from start to finish.

Everything we tried was delicious: foie gras, escargots, Chateaubriand, and crêpes Suzette. The flambé presentation is a really nice touch and makes the experience special.

The atmosphere isn’t modern, but that’s part of the charm, with white tablecloths and staff in white blazers, it feels like stepping back in time. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

“We visited Sept 21, 2025 for dinner. It was absolutely perfect. The location in the old port area was vibrant and beautiful. The service was great and the food was creative and exceeded our already high expectations based on other reviews. I was hesitant to go there because I’m not a big fan of rabbit, their specialty, but I gave it a try. We had the rabbit rillettes appetizer and rabbit pot pie and rabbit poutine for mains. “My wife & I had drinks & dinner here while staying at the hotel. Caesar salads to start, my wife’s w/ grilled chicken, which we both enjoyed. Then seared foie gras for her, beef cheeks w/ polenta & veggies for me - both excellent, mine was one of the most flavorful beef dishes I’ve ever had (& I’ve had a lot…). Our server took excellent care of us. Highly recommend !!“

“On a beautiful snowy morning, we walked over to Casse-Crêpe Breton for a family breakfast, and it was the perfect fuel for a day of exploring. We were lucky enough to snag a table by the window, which added such a lovely touch to the experience.

The crêpes are truly picture-perfect and tasted even better than they looked. We tried a great variety:
* Choix #5 (Œuf, saucisses, bacon, oignons, mozzarella): A huge hit with my son, who is usually a picky eater!
* Choix #7 (Bacon, épinards frais, fromage de chèvre, tomates, pesto): Fresh and savory.
* Choix A (Pommes maison, caramel, crème glacée à la vanille): Deliciously sweet and indulgent.
* Choix F (Façon S’mores): A fun, decadent treat.

To warm up, we had the Latte Caramel, Chocolat Chaud, and Cappuccino, all of which were excellent. It was a hearty, filling meal that kept us energized all morning. Highly recommended for families looking for a classic Old Quebec experience!“

“After strolling through the cobblestone streets of Old Town Quebec, we stumbled across this place in the attempt to warm up from the frigid elements. Mind you, coming from California we were still acclimating to the weather shock of -14 deg C (7 deg F) with a fair level of wind chill. The owner along with his staff were very accommodating. We instantly warmed-up [different context] to a great chat about the Quebec culture, about our backgrounds, etc. Anyway let’s get to the point – the food was fantastic! We had the fish and chips and spaghetti. And I kid you not, their way of preparing dishes is so different from the way it’s done in the US. Really feels homemade. My tip to you folks is never be afraid of the small talk - the Quebecois people are some of most warm and personable people I have ever encountered.“

“We sampled a bunch of different menu items. The classic beef tartare, one of the listed favourites, can be divisive and not for everyone. Personally, it was a treat for me trying out something different, but I do not think everyone would appreciate its almost raw meat and liver-like texture. The Tartare comes with fries, a salad, and crouton to round up the order.

We upgraded the side of fries that came with the Tartare into their Tout Cochon poutine. I was happy with that option that way I was able to sample their house poutine without needing to dedicate a full meal order for it. I can say this was among the best poutines I have had. The gravy was rich and flavourful. The poutine was also loaded with a variety of different proteins like the Gaspor farm ham and the bacon-wrapped sausage. The perron cheese curds also perfectly topped off the whole dish.

Our last order was the Quebec pork chop marinated and grilled with maple and tamari. It was served with apple chutney, sweet potato mash, and seasonal vegetables. It is exactly as you would expect with the ingredient details of the dish's name. You get a lot of different flavour profiles and textures with the meal order. Some saltiness with the pork chop then some sweetness with the apple chutney. Meaty tenderness with the pork chop, mushiness with the potato mash, and then some slightly crunchiness with the seasonal vegetables.

We dined on Sunday lunchtime the day before Family Day. There were people waiting to be seated by the time we arrived, but fortunately our group of only 2 people has a table spot available so did not need to wait. We were led down flights of stairs to the lower floor which was level with the street below. The whole place with its classic walls and decor exudes with classic charm.“
