Salmon tartar was fresh enough but bland. Hamburger was excellent. Accompanying onion rings were soggy. Skirt steak was properly cooked but flavorless. Accompanying fries were good. Cocktails were good. Very nice room and good views. Prices are steep but commensurate with what would be expected at such a location. Next time will enjoy the cocktail and dine elsehere.

It was a miss for us. The food arrived so late especially the kids food. Service was mediocre at most and there was no attempt to try and rectify the lack of service.

Our server was friendly and wonderful, making sure that all our needs were met. Overall service from the grand hostess to all the wait staff was superb. Our meal was very good overall. The French onion soup and grilled asparagus were to die for! On the other hand, the salmon tartare was a little bland, while the bacon poutine was a little too salty, if anything could be improved. All in all, we look forward to visiting again!

If it can be described as bad, this is the case. Terrible service, and careless, they were not attentive to the table, which was kept dirty all the time, the waiter was careless and always in a hurry. The food can be compared to a cafeteria on any corner, poorly cooked and also nothing that can impress, in my point of view the place is more famous for the location and the photos than what it really is, I would not recommend it to anyone There are other better restaurants in the city before choosing this one.

The food was good, but it took inexplicably long to get it. Our reservation was at 7:30. We did not get our food until at least 10. The staff were nice but it just makes no sense that dinner took this long.

We had a really great lunch here on Saturday. Our waiter Nathan was super friendly and helpful with our 3 year old daughter. Highly recommended the lobster roll with caviar and the goats cheese en croute.

Sam's was a convenient choice as we were staying at the Frontenac. The food was so-so, and the ambiance was non-existent for one of us who had a view of the food pick-up station. The saving grace was the server, Nathaniel, who was understanding and tried to compensate for our disappointment.

Hands down the best place we ate at our entire trip! Poutine was perfect, oysters had a great brine with perfect mignonette sauce. Seafood cassoulet was very good. Ribs were fall-of-the-bone tender with amazing sauce. Atmosphere is intimate and the view of the river set the mood with fantastic cocktails. This Michelin gem is not to be missed!

This was my 2nd time to dine here. The host was horrified that she did not give us a table by the window although both one was seating there. And out waiter over charged us. I asked for 5oz wine but was charged for 8oz price. They don't appreciate repeating customers. Dont over tip it or dont even leave any tips for the horrible service
