Le service de Pierre-Olivier a été exceptionnel. Le vin et le repas furent divins. Du pur bonheur !
We had an amazing 29th Anniversary dinner. Louis André was our server and he was very good. He took care of us from the moment we arrived. Thank you for our lovely evening.
Alexis? Les sommeliers incluant Sam 2? Ça passe hyper bien. Ils cherchent au 101 resto de quartier ... Sam as tu le temps? Tremblay x moi. Et? Québec ... l'arbre et le clan.
It's overpriced. I said it was my husband's birthday. They didn't do or offer anything. Wanted a window seat but didn't get it. Slow service. Food was just above average.
All five of us had an excellent meal. In particular ribs, onion soup and Boston salad delicious. Beautiful atmosphere and view. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
We had such a wonderful experience at Fairmont’s Bistro Le Sam during our first visit to Quebec. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The lobster roll & caviar was a standout and easily one of the best we’ve had. Every bite was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared.
What truly made the experience unforgettable though, was Sherri, who took such great care of our table. She was incredibly warm, attentive and welcoming. She made our first time in Quebec feel extra special. Her kindness and recommendations added so much to the overall experience.
Between the amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service, Bistro Le Sam will always be a memorable part of our trip. We can’t wait to come back!!

What a fabulous lunch! First of all we had the best seat in the house with a river view. They were lovely about accommodating gluten free. Our lobster rolls were huge and delicious. Couldn’t have been nicer.

I wrote a longer review on open table. The biggest issue was the service and the food. The waiter was incredibly nice but the service was slow compared to the table next to us. Also the flank steak was cooked perfectly but really bland and the burger was nothing special. Both had the option for either salad or fries but we were never asked and got fries. We skipped on dessert and left a bit disappointed. I wouldn’t eat here again given the many options around.

As so often is the case with large tourist hotels, you go for the experience and not the food. As other reviewers mentioned, the food was ok and very expensive. Appetizers and dessert were excellent but we both sent our entrees back - my pork ribs weren’t just cold because they’d been sitting out too long, they were chilled inside because they hadn’t been heated. My partner’s risotto was undercooked and really bland. It was a special occasion and a high price treat for us so this was super disappointing. We appreciated the quick replacements for our entrees and we were not charged for them. We had wonderful drinks at the bar and it’s a special place. Not sure why a hotel of this fame and caliber can’t provide an exceptional dining experience.

We had dinner for New Year's Eve and it was so enchanting. The Hotel is beautifully decorated with trees and lights. We arrived early for our reservation at Bistro Le Sam and the hotel staff were so nice and welcoming. The host and waiter was so nice and attentive. The service was perfect. We had the seafoof ravioli casserole and the Flank steak and it was so delicious and plated with care. The restaurant is modern and cozy for such a busy night. We reserved for 5:15pm by Open Table App. It is on the pricy side but for a New Year's dinner it was so worth it. We had a wonderful time and recommend it. What a great memory for us.

Overpriced, staff were rude, even though we had booked for a 50th birthday months ago and asked for a nice seat, we were sat in a dark dingy corner, burger and chips, the burger was like a McDonald's burger, the chips had been in the fryer to long and were like dry crisps. 40 Canada dollars plus tax for fish and chips you can get better quality in a local fish chip shop. Overpriced and just cashing in on the location. Don't go, go to the L'entrecot down the road for the set Menu. In the end we sent the food back and walked out.

We had a lovely dining experience at Bistro Le SAM and truly appreciated the warm, attentive service that made our anniversary dinner feel special.
My wife had the Château burger, which she really enjoyed. I tried the Niçoise-style tuna, which wasn’t quite to my personal taste. We also had a Québec-style hot spiced wine, which was excellent, and finished with a delicious crème brûlée.
A special thank you to our server for the thoughtful complimentary dessert. While the food is on the pricier side for what it is, the overall experience was memorable.
