Everything in the Chateau Frontenac is wonderful. Bistro le Sam is no different. The ambience and space itself is magical. Food is excellent. Service is top notch. Next time I hope to spend more time there - take advantage of the incredible views outside.
We had a lovely night cap and desert to end our long weekend before heading home the next day. Staff were gracious , friendly and accomodating.
Très bon service très courtois. Seul hic, la propreté des toilettes n'est pas digne de l'endroit. Sinon c'était parfait!
Michael was our server. He was wonderful. We felt very well taken care of. He was super accommodating, taking our photo at dinner and giving us some recommendations for further dining in the area. He definitely elevated the whole experience a notch.
Great experience, the staff is absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, we got French onion soup, ceasar salad and the flank steak. I would absolutely go back and get them all again. Great espresso martini also!
Excellent service and food. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food and a lively atmosphere.
Tout était parfait. Les prix sont trop élevés. Déséquilibre rapport qualité prix, surtout pour les breuvages et alcools. Très bel endroit.
Really 2 restaurants in one, enclosed terrace more upscale and inner room with high tables like a sports bar. Over priced for what food, service and ambiance deliver
What an amazing experience for lunch inside the iconic Château Frontenac! I had the salmon tartare, and it was perfection — the thin tart apple slices paired beautifully with the buttery, smooth salmon. For dessert, the warm chocolate caramel pudding was absolutely to die for — rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. We sat by the window overlooking the Dufferin Boardwalk, and the view made the meal even more special. A perfect way to end our last day in Québec City. Highly recommend!

Service was poor. They forgot the bread we ordered. The main course with ravioli and risotto was salted too much that they were almost bitter. Strawberry tart was good.
Toujours aussi bon de manger au Sam, excellent service dans un environment paisible et avec une vue unique sur le fleuve St-Laurent et Lévis
Service was good, food was cold and overpriced for what we were given. Disappointed because we are avid Fairmont restaurant goers and go all around to stay and eat there. We do look younger so I think that we were not taken as seriously and rushed out unfortunately.
We waited 30mins for a table that we had a reservation for as they were overbooked. Staff didn't inform us of the status of the table or apologize for the long wait time. We had to ask for updates and were given vague responses, which was frustrating as we would not be able to find another restaurant by the time we were told something concrete. The food was mediocre and not worth the expensive price tag once we were sat. Very minor acknowledgement was given to the poor service, I expected better from the Fairmont.
Lovely setting and fantastic food but disappointing that we couldn't have a drink in the bar before our table was ready.
