Food was wonderful, staff was amazing, and the sunset was just icing on the cake!
A friend recommended this restaurant to us due to its stunning view and lobster but we unfortunately didn’t feel the same. The restaurant is quite small with a few tables beside the window which have some distant views of the river, but not right on. We couldn’t get a seat over there anyway. They have lobster meals but they are pretty plain and come with very basic sides which are basic lettuce salad and fries together with sauces from the stores. Au Boucaneux is a very good restaurant near the Saint Laurent river, offering delicious food and a beautiful location to enjoy the sunset. The staff is friendly, and the service is good, even without a reservation. The high-quality ingredients and generous portions make it a fantastic dining experience. Families with children will also appreciate the great children's menu available. Visitors can watch the ferry cross the St. Lawrence River while they eat. The menu is very varied. You can find shrimp, scallops, lobster, and sole on the Captain's platter. For dessert, strawberry pie is recommended. Tiger prawns served with delicious fries and salad, and golden fillet served with rice were excellent. Parking is available.
