“I moved to the West Island a little over a year ago, and this restaurant quickly became one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. As a mom of young children, I sometimes need a little help with dinner, and my son loves coming here.

What makes this place truly special is the family spirit. It’s a real family business, and both the owner and his son are incredibly kind. Every time we visit, they offer my child a little treat, like a juice or a bag of chips — a simple gesture, but one that really warms a mother’s heart. 💛

The food is delicious, the welcome is always warm, and every time I go, I genuinely feel at home. This place is one of the reasons I love the West Island even more. I wholeheartedly recommend it!”

“My second time in less then a month (May & June 2023). The portion is huge, the quality is excellent. We took the Mega meal at 199.99$CAD (Mega family portion) with calamari plate at 17.99$CAD... everything was excellent or great. Hope they will continuted those portion & be honnest in their price. It's a must to go. They have much other things in their menu at 20$CAD or more... fo my case, it was a birthday issue (small group). It's a ***** (5 stars) for sure :)”

“I generally don’t like to complain, and in fact, this is the first bad restaurant review I have ever written. However, my experience with the management at La Milsa Laval was so predatory that I feel I have no choice but to warn others. ​We had a large booking of 23 people and paid a $500 deposit in advance. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, only 12 people were able to make it. While I understand that a change in group size can be an inconvenience, the restaurant’s response was completely unacceptable: They "stole" our $500 deposit and refused to credit a single cent of it toward our final bill. ​Essentially, we paid for our full meal on top of losing the $500, meaning the restaurant pocketed a massive amount of money for services and food they never provided. ​The Legal Issue ​To the management: You should be aware of Quebec’s Consumer Protection laws regarding "No-Show" fees and deposits. In Quebec, it is generally considered illegal for a restaurant to charge a "no-show" fee or withhold a deposit unless a specific contract was signed that meets very strict criteria—and even then, the amount must represent actual damages, not a flat-rate penalty. Taking $500 for 11 missing people while 12 others are still sitting there paying full price is a blatant violation of consumer rights. ​We were looking forward to a great night, but instead, we left feeling cheated. I strongly recommend avoiding this location for large groups unless you want to risk losing hundreds of dollars. We will befiling a formal complaint with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). Quebec”

La Phare et la Lux brillent franchement parmi leurs créations : chacune bien construite, expressive, avec cette touche d’élégance qui fait qu’on y revient. Le Blanton’s Old Fashioned m’a aussi franchement séduit : soigné, précis, avec juste ce qu’il faut d’aplomb. Le service ? Sympathique, attentif, à l’image de l’endroit. Le décor est soigné, réfléchi, avec du style et de la personnalité. Le hall d’entrée, avec son architecture de haut niveau, annonce d’emblée un lieu conçu avec goût et maîtrise. “Le St-Urbain has become a family favourite! Every dish is delicious. I ordered cream of parsnip and apple soup pistachios, endive, sage. An absolute must try! It was the best soup I ever had. The seafood was fresh, meats are tender and original desserts. I ordered carrot ice cream with spicy chocolate cake that upon reading the ingredients you would think it would not work but it was delicious.

The menu changes frequently to reflect ingredients in season. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. Service was great, hard working caring team for sure. What a gem of a restaurant in Ahuntsic. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Bravo!”

We had to wait for 2 hours for a table for 6 people meanwhile tables of 4 people and 2 sitting next to each other were being seating. “Oktoberfest done right at Kahnawake Brewing Company...in October, as it should be! 🤣 We shared a big pretzel with beer mustard and spicy beer cheese. I got the jagerschnitzel and she got the "wurst dog ever"...beer-battered bratwurst sausage with all the fixings. Only thing that was missing was the advertised pretzel bun! It definitely was far from the worst dog ever! 😜 It was very loud in there and service was slow, which I hope is not the norm for this place because the food, ambiance and beers are very good! Also, they increased the price of the pretzel by 20%. Overall 3.5/10 Our 1st visit at this brewery and not our last! 😃”
