“The food was Excellent! Much better than expected. The place was a bit loud and there were a lot of kids but that can be attributed to the time of year. The prices were also very good, low for the quality of the food. Lots of space between the tables also meant you had privacy for conversations, if you could be heard above the children. On a different night it would have been quite romantic. The only downside was the service which was indifferent. Drink refills were non-existent and if you wanted something you had to get up from your table and go find a staffer. I believe we went a full 20 minutes without seeing any staff in the dining room. The diners were all looking around, confused. I believe that this night the staff were focused on a large group in a separate room but that doesn't change the fact that we all are paying customers and expect the same service. With even a modicum of service this would have been a five star review. The food was just that good.“

“Very good table. It feels good to have this so close to home. It's worth encouraging them and going to try.
It's a little expensive for the area, but the quality of the service and the food is there. We are always well received. It is for these reasons that we return there.
A perfect restaurant for special occasions, romantic evenings, cozy meals with family or friends.“

“It was one of the best restaurants I ever went to. The place is very clean and well maintained. They have a big variety of food options. They serve everything on time, have big portions for a really cheap price, and are incomparable to other restaurants. The staff there are super very cheerful. I would really recommend this place 👌.“

“Ambiance amazing, staff friendly, love the vibe. Had the salmon tartare with fries. Not a big fan, missing flavour, lime wasn’t enough. Very bland. Missing a little something. I would also incorporate everything on the same plate. Little chaotic but that’s also my fault. We went with my 2 year old, he wanted to eat on my lap. So I had his plate and my two.“

“We made a reservation for 7:30 PM on the 25 December 2025 and had to wait for about 15min once arrived at the restaurant. Service was wonderful, the staffs there were friendly and welcoming got everything we ordered 🧡 However, the time taken between each courses took forever so we end up trying to kill time by having a conversation and play some board games while waiting on our food. The first two courses (soup, salade and the salmon) served us relatively okay time, our pina colada, tea and our water was pretty fast but our main dishes took over a hour and half almost 2 hours to received it.. 🥲 I'm glad that I kept a bit my salad because our meal was extremely salty so it helps to balance the dish out.
The food we order overall was delicious, soup and salmon was great, our beef steak was spectacular, the drinks and our desserts was delicious 😋 The desserts came pretty quickly (way faster than the soup and salad actually) 😅 The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the fries, it was extremely salty and wasn't capable to finish them. I was able to eat a few bites of it and take the rest to go for my husband (he enjoys the fries a lot, he finish his fries on his plates quickly).
The decor was beautiful, the atmosphere was wonderful, love the music and the ambiance in this restaurant, great food and amazing staffs, service was on point ☆ Overall, it's fantastic way to celebrate the holidays with my husband ❤️🎄⛄️ We just wish that the main course didn't took over a hour of waiting... 💔
Aside of that, will come back again for sure ! The food was very good at this restaurant and we enjoy our experience 🥰“

“Crispy and sweet fries. Hot dog is good (their coleslaw is very good!). Chicken wings are crispy outside but juicy & soft inside. Must try Italian poutine if you like tomato sauce. Poutine sauce is perfect. Other items on the menu are good as well. Service is fast. The kitchen or cooking area is clean.“

Dès notre première prise de contact, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis et accompagnés à chaque étape, ce qui a grandement facilité nos préparatifs et assuré le bon déroulement de la soirée. Un merci tout particulier à Issam, le propriétaire, pour sa disponibilité, son professionnalisme exemplaire, son sens du service et son soutien constant tout au long des préparatifs jusqu’au jour de l’événement. Le menu était délicieux, le service attentionné et l’ambiance à la fois conviviale et élégante ont permis à tous les participants de vivre une soirée inoubliable. Nous recommandons fortement L’Académie – Laval à tous ceux et celles qui recherchent un lieu exceptionnel pour organiser un événement ou simplement profiter d’un excellent repas.
