“We were at the Brossard location. 9am Saturday, no waiting line. Nice, dynamic ambiance. Tables distribution excellent, not to close each other, places for solo, couples and groups. The attendants were very polite and well informed. Prices are competitive. They are different, with their own style. Not mass coffee serving, good quality of ingredients. Presentation of plates need improvement. I'll go back.“

We started with the seafood platter, then followed up with the lobster pasta and steak with foil gras. We were unsure what to order for drinks so the staff decided to get us a cocktail based on our preference and offered it to be free if we didn't enjoy the drink. They made sure to get the drinks right, even taking it back to make adjustments based on our taste. This made us feel like a priority.

“We were so excited about our return to the restaurant after having experienced its early days in its previous location. We were not disappointed with the dining in this location. It's a marvel to behold and the 10 course tasting menu was superb. The staff were all attentive and welcoming with sharing their knowledge and experience. Such a delight. For us, we would have done well with only 1 dessert course as it was difficult to finish both and the amount of bread for that course was a bit overwhelming. Everything was tasty, just a bit too much for those courses. As always, we are anxious to share our experience with anyone we know who is travelling to Montreal. Merci😊“

“Everything was as expected for the most part. We had 6:00pm reservations and were 10 mins early, we had requested two seats at the bar which is where we were seated, but were told seats were needed by 7:15? We left at 7:00pm, at a time when the bar was 1/2? empty. We were not inconvenienced, my wife had just flown in from Paris and wanted to get home. However your seating times and reservations don't seem to lineup. Had we wanted to take spend more time, dinner and cocktails it didn't seem as though you could accommodate.“

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

“One of my favorite hotels ever!! Right in the heart of old Montreal, and a short walk to everything that Old Montreal has to offer. It sits on a beautiful cobblestone street, and is in an old, historic building. The rooms were beautiful, with windows that open to let in some great fresh air. I loved their little breakfast, which consisted of different breads each day, spread, cheese, and some cold pressed local juice. Just a top notch experience, and affordable too!“

Of all the places I visited in Montreal, this was where I felt the most welcomed and respected as someone traveling alone. “Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“This was my first dinner at Restaurant de l'ITHQ and it was even better than I had anticipated! My spouse and I were both absolutely impressed at the food and the service. Our waiter was helpful, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. Every staff member we encountered made it a pleasurable experience. The food was fantastic! We chose not to order appetizers but the kitchen sent us a lovely amuse bouche which was wonderfully complex and layered in flavour and texture. The main courses were likewise masterpieces, perfectly highlighting the local ingredients. My spouse had the catch of the day and it was the best halibut he has had. I had thr duvk magret and it was prepared expertly and served with beautiful presentation. Even the bread paired perfectly. The desserts were perfect, again the best blend of flavours that made each better. We were both delighted to learn that thr pears for the chocolate and Cardamom dessert came from the trees on the terrace. The wine offerings are wonderful and they even offer alcohol free cocktails which taste amazing.“

“Hands down one of the best dining experiences of my life. The location right in Old Montreal, basically right on the crowded walking foot trafficked pedestrian street, you're like in and amongst the history, the culture, the cobblestone streets that encompass the area. It's really really cool sitting outside enjoying the ambiance of the city. Food wise, the beef tartare was the best beef tartare I've ever had. The escargot was phenomenal. And there was one other meat dish we had that was superb. Everything was excellent. And then all the bread and cheese. Just elite food quality and quantity. Not cheap at all, very expensive. But very worth it. And then we had to have tried at least 6 or so French wines, one better than the next. And then our service was this wise-cracking late 20s/early 30s fella from France and ge couldn't have been better. Funny, smart, attentive, reliable, communicative. Solid dude. Don't have a complaint to make, just be prepared to shell out the clams. I think it mighta been the single most expensive meal I've ever had in my life. But there isn't a fine-dining restaurant in North America I'd recommend more than this place. Do not pass this place up. Sit on the patio, right on the street, bring your partner or best friend, and indulge. Like order everything you possibly can because there is nothing you're not gonna like and some/most is stuff you're not gonna get anywhere else that is gonna test all your taste buds and you're going to love. If you're anything like me. Really cannot recommend this place enough.“

“The food was delicious, the bartender and his cocktails were excellent and the ladies were very talented, particularly the one who positioned herself in the ring and sun like crazy. The one thing that was a little disappointing was that the shows were too infrequent, but in total that is minor. My wife was impressed that a gentleman greeted us outside and lended a hand to help her up the stairs.“

“Stopped by for a late lunch on Saturday and ended up staying almost two hours just taking in the room, the exposed brick and soft light made it perfect for some quick phone shots between courses. The sweetbreads were the highlight of the meal, crispy outside and so tender inside that I almost forgot to photograph it before digging in. Our server noticed my camera bag and offered to seat us near the window for better natural light, which honestly made the whole visit feel more personal. Already thinking about going back next weekend to try the tasting menu and get a few more shots of that open kitchen.“

“This was a nice place to have a Christmas dinner. Our server Robin was great and the food was good, though I wouldn’t really recommend it for kids. My kiddos are fairly adventurous eaters but some of this (the beet ravioli, butternut squash soup) was a little too adventurous for them.“
