Absolutely loved this place. Food was good. Good portions. Fish and chips dish comes with a lot of fries. The Goat cheese/chicken pizza was unique.

For the quality of the ordered it was expensive.
Ordered mussels which were good but the fries were terrible cooked too long and try and hard.Hard to believe it was brought to the table.
As for my wife's plate lobster roll it was fine.
Th service from the waitress was impeccable and when she saw the fries she mentionned that she was glad I showed her.
Why should We give a lesser tip ehe it was not her fault as our meal was brought to our table by a gentleman.
Kind of spoiled our evening.
The restaura t business is difficult BUT.......

TLDR: Amazing food, poor service

The food at Resto de la Plage is really good. This was my second time going and the food was exceptional both times

The service this time however left a lot to be desired. I called to make a reservation and asked if there was AC in the restaurant to which they replied yes. Upon arrival inside the restaurant the temperature must have been at least 35°C. The hostess said that they have AC but it's not working properly and all the tables outside are reserved.

If the AC isn't working properly just tell me when I ask in the reservation. It's completely understandable that things break but just tell me when I ask so I can reserve a table outside.

Then our waitress never came to check on the table after delivering the food, never refilled our water (its still 35° inside) and we sat around for about 20 minutes waiting for her to come back so we could ask for the bill.

I almost never write critical reviews since most of the time any little problems aren't enough to warrant complaints and I don't want to single anyone out but I hope management reads this and fixes it. The quality of food at this restaurant deserves better service.

It is by far the best restaurant on the island, we ate there twice this summer for the lobster roll, not to mention its bisque and the wonderful dessert, we brought back some bisque with us and after having made around NB, we made a detour to return there because it is delicious, the service and the chef are truly wonderful and welcoming people. I will return with pleasure.

We returned to the Resto de la Plage on December 15 with my friend. How lucky to have Rosalie again to offer us a warm welcome and always impeccable and professional service! She remembered us and even the dish my friend had! 🫶🏻👏🏻💪🏻🥰
I had the eggs benedict with lobster and bisque on small crab cakes, greens and breakfast potatoes.... OMG!! I didn't want to finish my plate to continue this taste experience forever! 😄 What an explosion of flavors! 🤤🥰

Oh and in my last comment (maybe double, sorry 🥴), I said that it was quite noisy but this time, since we booked for 12:15 p.m., there were less people quite quickly and it was super nice! 🥰
