“Gia Ba has amazing "non westernized" dishes. If you've never had chicken with chili and mushrooms, go run and try it. It's not a stir fry dish, it's a braised type of dish of chicken thighs in a spicy oily sauce with shitake mushrooms. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had and is pretty much all I order. If you look at the majority of poor reviews, they are coming from diners who had basic dishes like General Tao. I agree their version of General Tao isn't very good and I wish they didn't even have it on their menu. It doesn't go with the rest of their menu but I guess they're trying to please everyone. The Dan Dan Noodles are also very good. Stay away from the generic westernized dishes and you won't be disappointed.“
“I could not give you a review that described exactly what type of food this was, Chinese, Taiwanese or other oriental style as I have not got enough expertise to do that. I can tell you what you need to know though.Whatever type of food you wish to call it my family and I can only use one thing, Delicious! There is plenty in each portion and it comes out fresh to order, piping hot and full of flavour. Please do yourself a favour and visit this complete gem where you can still get real food at a very reasonable price. You will not regret it , particularly if you also chat with the owner who is a very friendly gentleman.“
