“It's a good restaurant, the food is excellent. The menu is good and there is a good choice of dishes, especially the beef. The tartars are also very good and varied. We were with a group of around twenty people and the restaurant was crowded for a Saturday evening. So, although the staff was very courteous and polite, the service was slow and the dishes were not served in an orderly manner. Some guests had finished their meal while others were not yet served. In addition, the restaurant was very noisy.
The restaurant is easy to access and there is plenty of parking.“

Elle a commencé par nous servir du pain maison avec huile olive. C’était vraiment excellent car nous en avons redemandé. Voici ce que nous avons mangé sfizi/entré - Polpetta con Pomodoro (Boulette de viande avec sauce tomate) - Salade concombre/tomate/burratta (sur menu spécial) pizza - Calzone (Pizza farcie avec ricotta, salami, champignons et mozzarella) - Diavola (Tomate San Marzano, mozzarella, salami et flocons d’épices) Si nous repassons par Laval nous y retournons c’est certain et même avec les enfants c’est un très bon spot pour une bon souper.“

The attendants were very polite and well informed. Prices are competitive. They are different, with their own style. Not mass coffee serving, good quality of ingredients. Presentation of plates need improvement. I'll go back.“

“Great experience at Jack Astor’s! Our server was a true one-man army — super attentive, friendly, and always checking on us to make sure everything was perfect. The service really made our visit special. The piña colada was very good and refreshing. We also loved the garlic bread and nachos; they were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything came out fresh and well prepared. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!“

The chicken Caesar salad I ordered was one of the best I have ever tasted.

“Perfect spot to stop for a snack or light lunch while biking the north end of the island. There is seating on a terrace but we always take our food over to one of the picnic tables under a tree.

Good coffee and an interesting selection of local micro-brasserie beers. Soup and sandwich or salad and sandwich options are good value and just the right size for lunch mid-ride.“

“We had late breakfast at L’oeufrier in Laval. Everyone from the atmosphere, service and food were excellent. They have spacious, quiet, and inviting seating inside and outside. The patio seating is in a courtyard so traffic noise is not an issue. When we arrived, Rebecca greeted us in English and French and provided us with English menus which made ordering very easy. Rebecca was friendly, attentive and provided helpful suggestions in our breakfast choices. We ordered le déjeuner du peuple, le simpliste + 1 choix, and mimi et coco font des malheurs with 3 iced coffees. The eggs (scrambled and over easy) were perfect, the potatoes (roasted and mashed) were deliciously seasoned, and crêpes were light and amazing! The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. Thank you Rebecca, we will return and ask for you next time.“
