Meal quality went waaaay downhill. They can blame it on their suppliers all they want, but even if that's the case, you have to modify your cooking to suit the meat, not just cook it the exact same way every time regardless of cut quality. Used to really love this place, but can't bring myself to eat there after hearing that there's been occasions of rats running though the kitchen from someone who used to work there.

If you want to spend your money on tasteless food and zero customer service and feel like a fool doing so, by all means eat here. Our whole party was pissed. Is the staff and mgmt laughing at the clients??

Terrible Customer Service. I submitted an order for five racks of Rib’s for a Sunday dinner party on the UberEats App. The order was placed on Saturday afternoon and was confirmed by the restaurant the following morning @ 8:30 AM. At 5:00 PM on Sunday, one hour before my guests arrived I received a notification on the UberEats App that my order was canceled by the restaurant. Not so much as a phone call, e-mail, text message from the restaurant. I immediately called the restaurant to see if I could adjust my order (maybe, they were only one rack short, who knows?), unfortunately, no one answered the phone despite multiple attempts (please mind you these phone calls were made during business hours).

EDIT: Recently went dine-in and the quality was great and as I remembered pre COVID. Even the portions were generous. Great meats!Used to love this place but unfortunately quality and quantity for the meats have dropped during covid with prices going up.

service staff are friendly, the ribs are dry and chewy tho not tender. I’ve tried brisket and pull pork in the past and it’s somewhat the same, not tender.read other reviews and I think it’s possible Leftovers. the sweet sauce is too sweet and spicy is sour….Fries are generally a bit soggy with some crispy pieces here and there. The coleslaw was good. Pickled onion and cucumbers are good. But the main meat are disappointing and I really hope they can improve that.if you want good bbq I honestly wouldn’t recommend. If you just want meat and sides then it’s tolerable.

The food is great, but I ordered takeout and expressly ordered spicy BBQ sauce with my brisket and they forgot to put it in the bag. That was annoying to find out once I got all the way home.

Slow to no service. Mediocre to bad food. The fries had no salt on them… I mean none. Coleslaw was that packaged stuff from the grocery store. Meat was ok. Small portions. Forgot to bring us our drinks. Go to Boucan in Little Burgundy instead.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this is a great Brisket. The meat was tender and not dried out at all. Very friendly with very delicious food. We had pulled brisket and poutine brisket. You will love the place...

I ate from Blackstrap after a long wet day outside with a 6 and 7 yearold. They were cranky, I was cranky and we were hangry. I ordered from Blackstrap because I needed comfort. I ordered from Blackstrap because we needed a good sleep. I'm not going to say we dreamt about BBQ that night, but our bellies were full and our sleep was deep.

Great for meat lovers. Small menu, but they nail it. According to my wife, the beef ribs are great. I'm vegetarian, so they have a mushroom BBQ and putine. If you like BBQ and you are hungry it worth to try.
