Had a very lovely experience the other day at Heron. Lovely Historic building with great views of the water. Absolutely delightful ambiance with tasteful art and good love music. The service was top tier the whole time. Our server Mason answered all our questions about the menu and made great recommendations.
Food at Heron was so flavourful and rich. The gnocchi was one of the best meals I've ever had. Even the fries at Heron deserve praise!

We stopped into Heron at the Wakefield Mill and had a fantastic meal. We started with the charcuterie board, which was excellent: generous, well put together, and a perfect match for a glass of wine. For mains we had the gnocchi and the filet mignon burger. The gnocchi was pillowy and full of flavour, and the burger was juicy, cooked just right, and a big step up from a typical burger.

Beautiful location. Historic building. Views of a waterfall and river. Charcuterie board with 4 items was very good. Would have liked to know what we were eating with the meat and the cheese. Fish of the Day WAS AMAZING!! We lucked out with pickerel aka walleye and mussels. The fish and chips were among the best T has ever had.
