From Route 1 it looks like a small ice cream stand but it’s so much more. We have passed it many times over the years without stopping. We were looking for a place to pick up dinner and found it online.
I was surprised to see how big the property is and that there is a second parking lot that you don’t see from the road. There is also a large lawn area with picnic tables and corn hole. There were about eight groups eating in this area.
We took out clams and a lobster roll. Both were about as fresh and well prepared as you could hope. Service was efficient.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the place with the large field to eat in and play at.

Went two weeks in a row on road trips to Rhode Island. Good food under a shelter at picnic tables with a lovely garden next door. on route 1. Outdoors.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can take your food to the shelter .there is a path from the parking area but it is not paved. Also there are rest rooms in the back of the building and the way is paved.

We had an order of fish & chips. The fish was in bread crumb type of crust, not light crispy breading, fries were good, clamcakes very good white chowder way to thick, not a good take, The lobster roll very expensive, I had a hot lobster roll, small amount of chopped up lobster meat with no lobster tail meat just claws & dry and overcooked, would have to give thus place a 1 star

Chowder was great. My friends had flounder tacos and flounder sandwich ,which they loved. We also liked the scallops but not the fried clams. They were a bit overdone and very tiny pieces and bellies. No indoor dining but plenty of outdoor seating with beautiful flower gardens as well as cornhole and basketball hoop. Great service and staff.

Great place for all your traditional New England Seafood cravings. FYI the line is long but moves quickly! The white chowda is great and some of the best clam cakes I've had. Highly recommended!

We stopped by monahans by The cove on a Sunday around 12:00 there was no wait. Fast friendly attentive service at this unassuming seafood joint just off the main road. We ordered a lobster roll scallop dinner fried clam bellies and had clam chowder with clam cakes. The chowder was definitely the hit of the meal delicious and full of flavor as well as the cakes that it came with. The fried clam bellies were on the smaller side but we're still good and the scallops were a hit as well. The lobster roll was a tasty treat. All in all we really enjoyed our experience here
The clam strips we got were very overcooked. Like dark gold in color, and the strips were dry like overcooked frenchfries that have no center left. Was told by the workers "thats how clam strips are" and how they would be if I reordered them. I was refunded for them. Chowder was nothing special. Crab cakes tasted very fishy and I didnt want to finish them. Scallops were cooked correctly on the inside, but fried batter was mushy. Clam cakes were okay but lacked any detectible amount of clam. I would not go back.
