My Sister and I stopped by on Wednesday, March 13th looking sit & have a little sweet treat. We got there around 7:20PM. There was a group of 2 in front of us. There was 3 people doing the ice cream area, and 3-4 waiters. We waited next to the host stand. One employee said “We will be right with you.” we wait 2ish minutes and another employee walks over and returns menus to the host stand and says “Someone will seat you in just a moment”. That's fine we wait. The same employee who told us that “we will be right with you” retuned and told us that same thing again. Then walked away. It seemed 2 employee were just standing there behind the counter and were pacing around. One of the employee was blending an awful awful for an awfully long time. After 8 minutes we decided to walk out. The atmosphere also feels like your grandmas home in 2009. Overall, lazy employees & no urgency to the paying customers. Horrible customer service, from someone in the service industry.

I have no complaints. It was my first time here and I came specifically for ice cream. I was greeted with a smile. The staff were nice and helpful. The ice cream was delicious too. The restaurant was clean so no complaints there, the appearance however is very dated. I can't fault them for that.

Waited 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, to order an awful awful. Walked out and it’s 12 in the afternoon

I did not have the slightest clue that Newport Creamery served real food; I thought they were just whipping up cones and shakes. But I'm glad I did try it because the food is actually a bit impressive. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and a tuna melt. The food came out not too long after placing the order and it was nice and hot. The crispy chicken sandwich reminded us of what fast food places wished their sandwiches tasted like. The chicken was the right thickness, it was sooo juicy and tender, you could hear the crispness in every bite, and it had the right amount of saltiness. The mayonnaise made it that much better and the buns were toasted to perfection (just the underside as the top was soft) which also added a layer of crunchiness. The lettuce and tomato were VERY fresh. The fries were good but nothing extraordinary. The tuna melt was also good. I'm not a fan of when tuna has too much mayonnaise but this one had just the right about where it was a bit creamy but you could still taste the fish. It had something green and crunchy mixed in, perhaps celery. The bread was incredible. It was buttery and it was crunchy at every bite. I didn't taste too much of the cheese which was the only disappointment with this sandwich. I replaced my fries with broccoli trying to be healthy but I did not like broccoli too much as the outside of the trunk was tough and the inside was almost a bit dehydrated. I would be interested in trying their other menu options. To end the meal, we did order strawberry and banana chip awful awful (or milkshakes, one of the two) and it was actually really delicious. A bit sweeter than I anticipated but it was creamy, and with a hint of strawberry milk flavor and obviously a strong banana flavor. We came here on a Wednesday evening so parking was very easy to find and it was not too packed. There are plenty of indoor dining tables and the staff is very friendly and quick.

Hectic and very crowded. Not enough help on duty. Felt bad for the manager being pulled in every direction. Food was good and love their pricing.

Oh, Newport Creamery in Cranston, you delightful scoop of sunshine! My visit was a pure sugar rush of joy, from the sparkling clean floors to the friendly smiles that greeted us.Stepping inside was like entering a land of happy hues and creamy dreams. The air buzzed with cheerful chatter, punctuated by clinking spoons and the blissful sighs of satisfied customers. Everything felt squeaky clean and bright, like a fresh scoop of vanilla just waiting to be savored. And the staff? Oh, the staff! They were the whipped cream on top of the whole experience. Every interaction was a warm, welcoming hug, their enthusiasm as contagious as a runaway sprinkle explosion. They truly seemed to delight in spreading smiles, making you feel like you were their favorite flavor. But the real star of the show, of course, was the Elf Extreme Awful Awful. Dive into a sea of creamy swirls, each scoop a symphony of taste and texture. So, if you're ever in Cranston and craving a taste of joy, skip the boring cones and head straight for Newport Creamery. It's a guaranteed sugar rush of good vibes, friendly faces, and ice cream dreams that come true, one delicious scoop at a time. Just be warned: you might leave with a smile as sticky as a waffle cone, but trust me, it's a sweetness you'll never regret!Parking: lots of parkingKid-friendliness: family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: lots of parking

It's not like it used to be, which is fine, but for the prices, I'd rather go to Chili's or 99's. Chowder is still to die for!!Kid-friendliness: We went with my 4 - and 5 year olds. We try hard to be quiet and respectful of other eaters. That being said, I would think they would try to get us out faster, just in case. We had two kids' meals, a burger, and a salad. They didn't bring kids menus we had to ask for them, they didn't bring utensils for anyone we had to ask, they didn't think the kids would have the ice cream that comes with it either. The check came from not our server, we asked about the ice cream and was told they would tell our server. Enough time passed that the table next to us ordered their food and received their food before our server came back. I know it's no one else's fault we have kids, but if you offer kids meals that include dessert, maybe finish serving us so we can pay and leave.

What's really surprised how good the breakfast was, after all, when you think Newport Creamery, the first thing you think of is an Awful Awful, not eggs Benedict. Was greeted quickly , sat immediately, server came by in minutes had hot coffee in me in less that 4 minutes. Order food, was good, nothing special, waitress was excellent. Restaurant was clean and tidy. No complaints, would recommend.

Got to the restaurant 10 minutes before 12 noon, breakfast is served up until 12 noon, told they are no longer serving breakfast because of a 20 minute back up in the kitchen. What does it matter WHAT you’re serving if there’s a delay in the kitchen??? Manager Stephanie was rude & non compromising.

We love to come here for breakfast and lunch! The extreme awful awful is our favorite. Staff is friendly and helpful and service is always quick. This location is typically clean and gets busy around lunch because of Garden City shoppers. Walk up ice cream window available.

This store was dirty. There was a lot of staff but not much service. The wait to be seated was 10 minutes but there was no one ahead of us. The walls and floor were smudged and dirtyWe asked for napkins server waited on another table first.bought a Jimmy roll only to find it had melted and been refrozen but paid full price for it. Newport creamery has a lot of competition in garden city. They can do better

We all enjoyed our meals. I was disappointed to learn, though, that they eliminated a few classics, mainly vegetarian options, because "they didn't sell that well". Unfortunately we will frequent it less often now.
