Tavern in the Square Cranston

They have a ok menu section for food their bar is not that great for creating your own drinks and they weren’t really welling to go off menu to make a drink besides that the staff were really attentive and service was fast for the restaurant to be kinda busy when we were there I got the general tso chicken it was very dry and didn’t have much sauce and it was very unpleasant trying to eat FRIED BROCCOLI I ate the chicken and left the broccoli and the rice was disappointing it was disgusting I normally get a burger at this restaurant which are really good

Just had the WORST experience. We went to tavern today and not once did our server ask if we wanted food or drinks within the 4 hours we were there. We waited 20 minutes before getting a food menu which we had to wave him down for. Every time we ordered a drink he walked away half way through the order. Anytime we needed service it took over 20 minutes to get his attention which caused us to wave him over. When we went to order another drink he proceeded to come over and yell at us for waving him over for his attention saying “if you weren't with these girls i would of never served you all night”. We've never had to wave or look for our server in our past times here. We usually have the best service and are checked on frequently. Our server JOSH was very rude and ruined our night and blatantly tried to embarrass us. We spent hundreds of dollars for horrible service just to get yelled at. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life.

Food and service was excellent. Had the Spicy Thai Chicken Salad- absolutely delicious. So large I finished it for dinner.

The chicken avocado sandwich was not as good as expected. Also the ahi tuna bowl was mediocre at best. The burgers are consistently good.

Anthony was a wonderful server. Had great recommendations. Will definitely be coming back soon.

I have a good allergy. The staff was extremely accommodating. As always, the food, vibe and service was fantastic.

Anthony is the best server! He was personable and fun and really made my hermit friend laugh which is so important because she doesn’t often leave her house. We will be requesting him in the future and will only eat here if he is our waiter. He is literally the best.
