The food was delicious, with well-cooked, fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed the tacos and quesadilla. Despite being a small spot, the service was very friendly. Tio Mateos is definitely going into our regular rotation!
While the tacos may have looked a little messy, they were quite tasty. I've been here a bunch of times now, and the food is always consistent and well-made. I've never been particularly wow'd but I've also never left disappointed.
It's got the feel of an Americanized taco place, but that is not in any way a bad thing. The bass flavors are classically Mexican, but they feel like they're customized to a more American pallet.
