I have had my fair share of eating weiners, because it's just one of the staples of Rhode Island. I took a chance and stopped here for some weiners. Usually I would go to Rod's Grille in Warren, or Baba's in Providence. I came here, and ordered four all the way. The sauce had a very different taste compared to all the other places I have been to. Being an avid hot dog tourist I passed the sign with the dog on it, immediately pulled over and ran in. Not being a local, I immediately embarrassed myself by asking for a hot dog. "You want a hot dog or a weiner?" said the gentlemen at the counter, unflinchingly straight faced. This question will flummox anyone from outside the Ocean state, by the way. Just a typical Rhode Islander who loves weiners and this place is our go to spot in Providence. Could add a bit more meat sauce when you order with the works but it is definitely worth the try. Being a fan of olnyville, I'd still choose this one.
