I ordered a dish with olives and requested to have no olives in it, and the waiter said that the "sauce comes with olives" and I could have it on the side and "just pick it out." She also didn't offer us bread... I heard the waiter for the table next to us offer their table bread when they were seated (as well as mentioning the special of the night - we were not told the special of the night by our waiter), and after looking around I noticed all the tables were given bread. I had to flag down our waiter and request the bread... The food was basic, nothing to write home about.

Service received less than 5 stars only because of understaffing. The wait staff was constantly hustling and remained pleasant and attentive. Background music was a bit loud, but that could simply be personal preference. We sat in the downstairs pub area.

Father Knows Best

I had very low expectations of the Brand. Often I would drive by the one on North Main Street in Providence. I stopped in to eat breakfast and I was totally taken back by the host, I stood by the door approximately 15. The host at the counter completely ignored me and kept going back, I finally got fed up and spoke up to get her attention. Then she acknowledged me and told me someone will be right with me. Nevertheless, I finally got seated and ordered my meal. The food was cold and the wait staff was ok. I vowed never to return to another Greggs again. Now, for the experience in East Providence, my colleagues and I were looking for a place to have a set down meal for lunch and discuss business opportunities. Unfortunately, the only place that was close was Greggs, wanting to make a good impression, I reluctantly recommend Greggs. Mean while reflecting on the bad experience in Providence, we eventually went in and to my surprise we were greeted at the door with a warm smile and hello. My "Spidie Senses" were activated. It was a very short line and we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Nevertheless, the waitress came and asked in a very pleasant demeanor, "Would you guys like something to drink.? We immediately, said no and we needed a minute to decide. Finally, she came back in a very timely manner to take orders and bring us our drinks. In addition, she was very professional, kind, and didn't disturb us when engaged with each other during our meeting. Overall, I have gained a liking for the brand and this location of Greggs. My colleagues and clients enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and prices. We will be holding future meetings there monthly. Thanks Greggs staff for showing us what a true dining experience surpose to be like.

We went to eat at Gregg's on Sunday night. We were greetess ed by a very friendly hostess. We were seated quickly. The service was perfect! Andrew was our waiter& he was right on top of everything. I enjoyed the Thanksgiving sandwich with a cup of chicken noodle soup. My husband enjoyed the Chicago Fire sandwich. For desert we shared Heath bar cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. I recommend Greg's Restaurant.Parking: Large parking lot.

Been going there for around 30 years (same location) - Food & service has always been great- never disappointed . 1st picture I had grilled chicken w/mushrooms, onion peppers & swiss cheese sandwich on a bulky roll with french fries & side of coleslaw delicious - my hubby got the classic roast beef aujus that came with a delicious salad ?Prices are reasonable .My only gripe is we had to ask for their infamous pickles that used to be served immediately. An old routine that people looked forward to in the past & helped make the name famous.Even ordered my Thanksgiving meal the past 3 or so years - (no need to cook an entire meal for 2 people) - t's delicious - satisfying & affordable.
