We went in as a party of 5 on a Tuesday at 10:45am. The waitress greeted us and cleaned a table to seat us right away. The menu was full of so many options. And so many gluten free options too! The food was absolutely delicious. They started to get busy and service was kind of slow when we were ready for our check, so that took a bit but overall HIGHLY recommend Rhody Hen!! (This celiac ate eggs, bacon, potatoes, and even a slice of GF french toast and didn’t get sick!) All 5 of us loved our food.

We’ve been to The Rhody Hen many times and while it’s always been a little chaotic, the food has consistently been good. Our server Denzel on this visit was very friendly and attentive.
That said, the check-in/seating system really needs work. We put our names in and were told “only 10 minutes” but while we waited, another couple that arrived after us took an open table without checking in. Then an empty booth opened up that was apparently supposed to be ours, but another guest was escorted directly to it by a waitress instead. When my wife asked what was going on, the hostess acknowledged that the booth had been intended for us, but explained that the guest was the waitress’s family member. Then another guest joined that table, meaning two people ended up taking an entire booth meant for 4 while we continued waiting with our baby.
About 20 minutes later, we were seated at a small table for two with barely enough room for our food and everything that comes with dining out with an infant. What was most frustrating was that no one — not the hostess or a manager — ever apologized or acknowledged how unfair the situation looked. Even a quick apology or explanation from management would have gone a long way.
We understand wanting to accommodate family, but there should still be some consistency and professionalism for waiting customers.

It was good. I would do it again. Recommend for breakfast. But that's all I had. Can't speak for anything else

Very loud and hard to hear...they need curtains to absorb the sound

I go here because they have gluten free options. The staff are friendly and the food is good! The only thing that puzzles me, is I don’t understand how they haven’t renovated yet!

The food is good, but not good enough to charge a 15% service fee for take-out that the staff does not inform you of and is not posted in the restaurant. That is very deceptive, poor business practice, and excessive if you ask me. Grubhub, Uber Eats, and DoorDash don't even charge that much to bring the food to your doorstep.

Waitress never checked on us. Food undercooked ( not up to other location standards). Had to flag waitress down to get the bill…unorganized and just an extreme poor experience….

Our first time was yesterday and it was delicious. Staff were friendly we will be back!
The food was excellent, the pancakes not only tasted good but they were presented beautifully. The gluten free French toast was great my kid said. Bacon perfectly crispy. The corned beef hash had a great crisp to one side and the home fries were so tasty and well cooked. 10/10 would eat here again. Oh and parking was easy too which is nice since it's hard to park to eat sometimes in Providence.

The food was originally non salty extra fresh ingredients. Staff is great seems like they just need a refresh. Maybe a bonus the service is great staff remember orders thicc slabs of ham not salty good thick pieces of bacon.
