“So good! This place is a little hole in the wall pizza joint with amazing food! I was seriously impressed with their pizza of course but they also have some interesting menu specials like heartland casserole and stuffed pepper soup. It’s more of a take out place but you are welcome to sit down and be waited on. The lady at the front was very nice. We don’t eat down this way often but next time we do, we will be back for sure!”

“Had a great dinner to a celebrate someone’s birthday and someone else’s new job. The food was excellent and I can’t wait to come back. The Eastern Calamari was a highlight; the sauce it was served in had a umami-sweet flavor that was well-suited to the crispy calamari. For entrees, the chicken and waffle and the short rib were the stars. The chicken parmesan sandwich, spicy chicken and pork belly ramen, and Rhody fish and chips were all also very good. There was a ton of fish and chips coming out of the kitchen and headed toward other tables, so that seems to be a popular choice. For dessert, we tried the molten lava cake, farm cobbler, and gelato. There was variation in which dessert was the favorite, but everyone was impressed with the gelato. Even though gelato may not be most folks’ top choice for dessert when there are cakes and other options on the menu, it had a really unique (more solid) texture and the taste was really excellent. I highly recommend this spot!”

“Absolutely outstanding from the moment we walked in by the people greeted us, sat us down and provided us with a scrumptious meal. I would drive back five hours just for this breakfast.”

“Our second stop on our Saturday Taco crawl took us to Maiz. The shop was decked out for the Halloween season. Inside the place reminds you of a Mexican cantina. Brightly colored flags adorning the ceiling contrasted the sand colored wall. Our server was very nice, letting us know what our options were for the fight. I chose to upgrade mine to pastor tacos as they are my favorite type. My friends got a Birria taco, a shrimp taco and the carnitas taco. It didn't take long before our food arrived. Fresh and hot, we quickly dived in. The pastor was flavorful, a slight char taste that made the whole thing sing a symphony for my taste buds. The shrimp taco was particularly good as well. The shrimp was succulent and the addition of the pineapple took it to the next level. The Birria meat was tender and juicy. The carnitas was a solid choice as well. Their homemade hot sauce, mild or spicy, on the side. All washed down with ice cold Mexican coke. Another taco spot in the books as a place to return. We only live 9 minutes away so it's a sure thing for us!”
