We headed here on a Saturday, late afternoon, for an early dinner and requested to sit on the deck looking out over the lake. We are local, so we have been here in the past, maybe 6 months ago. The service was slow and another couple who had arrived before us left due to not being attended to. It was not busy. After talking to the owners, the story is that this restaurant has changed hands somewhat recently and has just reopened. A new server was being trained and it seems like it will take them a little while to get back to business as she really was running around crazy but not really accomplishing much, multiple people asking to take our order (the new server and the new owner), and overall, very disorganized. We were offered a free appetizer to apologize, acknowledging the chaos. Eventually, we were served and the food was very good. Maybe we will give them a couple of months to get in gear and try again. I do want local businesses to succeed. My advice would be to hire experienced servers to start.

Something big changed because something is very wrong. I get the chicken parm for take out. It’s been a couple months but In the past the chicken parm I get is two thick chicken cutlets and a really good marinara sauce, nicely breaded with white cheese. They usually will throw in some fresh bread ends and slices for free..

BUT THIS TIME

I’m not sure what happened but I actually feel sick. I got one thin cutlet that was burnt with cheese stuck to the aluminum container, like they cooked it in it. The breading was soggy and burnt at the bottom. Pasta was dry and cold. And the red sauce was orangish and tasted sour(hate to say it but old). I think it might have been pizza sauce. Everything was really salty. Honestly inedible. I couldn’t believe the portion was cut down into thirds from the past. I usually would have enough for two servings. As far as the free bread goes that went out the window too and replaced with frozen dinner rolls.

Nothing seems authentic, skip paying $22 bucks and just go to Dave’s market place if you get a craving for chicken parm or a restaurant with proper portions per price. I feel robbed that I payed for a quarter box of pasta with some salty sour cheese sauce. I had to wait still after showing up after than the time given. Sadly disappointed.

We waited a very long time for our food and it was not a busy night. There was 2 of us and we waited almost an hr and a half. Food had no taste at all. I will give them another try.

My friend and I had a delicious dinner overlooking the beautiful water. The service, wine, calamari, seafood, and the chicken Marsala were all amazing. We watched the sunset from the deck on a beautiful summer night. Thank you, Yoshi, for a perfect dinner!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a lunch spot. And there it was on the water, with outside deck. Interior spacious and warm, meticulously clean.
The menu was extensive, Italian everything
including choice of seafood, ( owner said lobster roll coming soon)yummy pasta choices, dinners and pizza. Coming back for sure. Delicious!

They charge $28 for a piece of salmon then an addition $3 for a vegetable. If asked what option side you want, you expect it to be included in the hefty price.

The gf and I came in on Sunday. Very quiet and slow. The bartender had mentioned they were slow and understaffed. No big deal... Asked what was popular and was told the chicken parm. Ordered it and 2 drinks. We were given warm rolls which was nice. About 45 mins in hf asked where our chicken parm was. It came out shortly after. The breading on the chicken parm was soggy and the red sauce was awful. We asked for salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. Never got any. Asked for 2 more drinks never got them. Also asked for more bread and never got that either. We had one bite of chicken parm and couldn't eat it. Left $20 for our two drinks and told the bartender we were leaving. Very disappointing.

Saved Our Night & Made It Unforgettable!

We were out celebrating our upcoming wedding with our maid of honor and her husband on a double date. We had originally planned to eat somewhere else, but after a really bad experience at the other restaurant, we decided to stop by Frank & John from Italy on the Water just to grab a couple of drinks — and wow, are we glad we did!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family. There was live music playing, the atmosphere was lively and fun, and we were invited to sit outside on the beautiful deck overlooking the water. The general manager and his wife personally welcomed us, making us feel like we were longtime friends — it honestly felt like being part of their family.

What started as a backup plan turned into one of the most memorable nights of our engagement. The drinks were great, the vibe was perfect, and the people truly made the experience special. Frank & John’s didn’t just save our night — they made our celebration feel complete.

This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you for turning our night around and making it something we’ll never forget!

Really love this place. Pizza is awesome, fresh crust, lots of options. Great prices- I think I paid $12.95 for my Margherita pizza. Full bar / draft beers. Where else can you get mangocart on draft? My favorite. Best part is their beautiful deck patio overlooking the water. There are turtles that love to come up and eat bread if you drop it, such a unique feature. Thank you!

Went here on a date night and had Gina as our waitress and she was a delight. Food was great and fresh the restaurante itself could use some updating inside and out but not a deal breaker. Also went back a few weeks later for breakfast the vwggies omlet and steak tip breakfast was delicious A+.
