“I went to Ben’s from a recommendation from a friend and today I was near Newport so I stopped by. It’s a small hole in the wall place but with plenty of seating and Ben’s delivered some great hot dogs. I had 3 different dogs and they were all fantastic so if you like hot dogs I promise you’ll love Ben’s chili dogs and I suggest getting the chili dog with cheese as it’s fantastic!!!“

“We had reservations in the back room (the old formal dining room). Sat next to window - but cold air coming thru the window made things terribly uncomfortable - had to put on our Canada goose coats to stay warm. We requested a move to the front tavern room - which we were graciously accommodated. Service and food in the tavern was excellent. We've been going to the BP for more than forty years - one of our favors in Newport. We especially like the ambience of the tavern room. Mussels and chowder are the best. But please forego the back room in winter - unless you like attic weather.“
