We were staying in a hotel on a bland suburban strip outside of Newport, but I needed a walk so I Googled “local bars near me still open” and Woody’s popped up. I walked from the hotel, nobody was walking anywhere that cold night, and after 20 minutes found myself at Woody’s. It’s a local dive bar, complete with a drunk guy playing pool, and just the vibe I was seeking. It’s cash only, but there’s an ATM on site. This is a great little local bar. Nothing fancy just a great place for a drink.
Good spot for a drink. Cash only, if you didn’t know, but there are ATMs on site.Saturday night bingo, usually starts around 6!
