My husband & I had our Anniversary (51 years) dinner at the Coast Guard House on Monday, April 15. We enjoy going there as the atmosphere, food & service are always top notch! Victor was our waiter, and he made our experience totally awesome! He knew the menu, prices and delivered our personal preferences in a timely manner; not rushed. I also want to compliment the hostess for her professionalism on such a busy day. Great job Coast Guard House! Thank you, Victor!!

I had the worst experience here yesterday. My fiance and I came here for a drink and some food and a beautiful view of the water on a beautiful day. The view was beautiful- everything else was not. I ordered the sunset burger and clearly asked for no egg. The waiter came out with calamari (someone else's order) so I told them it's not ours. They then came over with two other burgers that were not our order. Then came by burger with a huge over easy egg. I'm really not one to complain but I couldn't just scrape it off, so I asked the waitress if they could fix it. She looked off put but said yes. Less than 5 minutes later another burger showed up looking like the picture. The fries were cold (obviously the same from before) and the burger was uncooked. Completely uncooked. No one came by to check and see how I was doing until I flagged her down. I told her politely that it was not cooked and she said it's supposed to look like that because there's bacon in it. Then she took it away and came back with the manager and immensely apologized and said it was indeed not cooked and asked if they could serve me anything else to take home. I said no and please take it off the bill. All in all, they made it right after I escalated it several times but if I ate that burger I would have been sick!
The food was perfect, no complaints and I'm from NY. The service was even better, the hosts and our waitress was flawless & most of all the manager Steve. He made our dining experience like we were family. Thank you all for a job well done.

Views are great. Drink prices are decent. Food is mediocre at best, flavorless and served cold or room temperature in some cases. Chowder is decent if a bit heavy on the bacon. Service at bar is impersonal but attentive enough. Go for the views and non-special drinks. Add a lower price app or salad. Definitely skip the mussels.
