Food was delicious! It was warm & cozy inside, bigger than I expected. Our waiter, Connor was great. He gave us a heads up that a waitress went home sick so service might be slower than usual but he was just the right amount of attentive. We didn't even notice a problem with service!

sat upstairs- burger was great. apps were ok. didn't love my drink but my husband loved his. our server was also bartending. he was very nice however gave us very “in a rush” energy. felt pressured to order due to him asking us 4 times in the matter of 10-15 minutes when we kept saying we weren't sure what we wanted yet so i ended up just spitting out the first things i saw.

Had a charcuterie board with soppressata and truffle cheddar that was great. Menu different than typical places and all entrees were very good.

We arrived early and kindly asked if there was any availability. Hostess gave us attitude. They did ultimately seat us right away, but don't appreciate the tone when we are there to spend our money.

We had the charcuterie board that was served with stale crostini. After mentioning this to the bartender he said “sorry about that”. There were also a group of people in the bar that were extremely loud which management did nothing about except to serve them more alcohol. It was a very unpleasant dining experience

We were attending the Newport Boat Show and decided we were ready to go for dinner although our resy was still hours later. The staff at Bar and Board was very accommodating and sat us hours prior to our resy. We had an enjoyable experience all around. Will be back!

We were a party of 10, one of those chairs was a highchair and an additional spot for a stroller. Manager was annoyed from the moment we walked in and you could see her annoyance throughout our dinner. Our server was great, but food was not. Unfortunately, we sent back a few dishes.

Dining here is always a pleasant experience. With a warm greeting, efficient service, and delicious food, this is not a Newport tourist trap! In a city where restaurants are often crowded, noisy, and impersonal, this spot offers a friendly neighborhood restaurant vibe.
This modern and chic establishment is a must-do on any visit to Newport. Airy, spacious feeling, enhanced by open windows to the busy downtown scene and, if you time it right, the sunset. Teh menu offerings are updated versions of traditioanl dishes and they are spot on. Their interpretation of the lobster roll and the white lasagna were mouthwatering and delicious, not weighed down by heavy sauces or seasoning. The cocktail and wine complemented the food well. Service was nicely paced, professional, yet friendly. And they had my favorite dessert on the menu: affogato! I opted for the salted caramel gelato with the hot espresso and it was a treat. Not to be missed and heartily recommended.

Absolutely great food and service. Dined last Saturday evening with two of our teen and preteen grandchildren. All of us enjoyed our meals and the service was on point.
This next point deserves mentioning as it speaks to the culture of the establishment: When my granddaughter became ill (NOT food related), the manager came over immediately to help comfort her… she brought hot tea and took her to more private quarters to relax until her discomfort passed. We were impressed and remain grateful for the compassion and level of care exhibited.
We will continue to visit again and again in the future. Many thanks!!!
