Don't sleep on this place. Small plates, cheese board, entrees and desserts are all create. Creative cocktails. Fabulous service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

This was our second time at Bar and Board and it was as good as expected. The ambiance is great, including the ceiling lighting, art work and arrangement of seating. The food was excellent, we chose oysters from the raw bar, mussels from appetizers, a garden salad, pasta entree and dessert. The salad was one of the best I've had and the pasta sauce was so good. The staff was attentive and even kept us up to date on the ongoing playoff football game. I would definitely recommend Bar and Board!

We wanted to love this place so bad but they were very rude from the second we talked in. My husband had to leave with my older two kids because they were so tired and we're getting no service so I sat and waited at the table with my babies and it took over 20 minutes with no one coming over. I was clearly waiting to pay the bill i ended having to chase down any waitress to just get our bill and boxes after 25 minutes of no one coming over and half my party leaving. The hostess also was so rude and asked came over to our table and asked me to tuck away the babies so she could seat other people.

The first time we went to Bar and Board was better: the cocktail "purple rain" was very tasty as well as the Belcourt, and the cold cuts we had last time was also delicious. This time, I was disappointed with the Handstand (it came with crushed ice) and it tasted bland. I should have asked the waitress how it was served before ordering it as I find cocktails with crushed ice dilute the taste as you sip. Would be a good idea for cocktail list to also state how they are served (on the rock, with crushed ice, served up/ martini style) They didn't have any cocktails with rum so my husband ordered a Mojito, that one also arrived with crushed ice. Generally, we don't enjoy cocktails with lots of crushed ice as much, so that put a damper compared to our first experience. The chorizo d Espana didn't quite have the taste of chorizo but the Wagyu Bresaola was excellent. So, a bit mixed feeling about the overall experience. Our waitress Gigi was very nice and courteous.

Food was delicious! It was warm & cozy inside, bigger than I expected. Our waiter, Connor was great. He gave us a heads up that a waitress went home sick so service might be slower than usual but he was just the right amount of attentive. We didn't even notice a problem with service!

sat upstairs- burger was great. apps were ok. didn't love my drink but my husband loved his. our server was also bartending. he was very nice however gave us very “in a rush” energy. felt pressured to order due to him asking us 4 times in the matter of 10-15 minutes when we kept saying we weren't sure what we wanted yet so i ended up just spitting out the first things i saw.

Had a charcuterie board with soppressata and truffle cheddar that was great. Menu different than typical places and all entrees were very good.
We arrived early and kindly asked if there was any availability. Hostess gave us attitude. They did ultimately seat us right away, but don't appreciate the tone when we are there to spend our money.

We had the charcuterie board that was served with stale crostini. After mentioning this to the bartender he said “sorry about that”. There were also a group of people in the bar that were extremely loud which management did nothing about except to serve them more alcohol. It was a very unpleasant dining experience

We were attending the Newport Boat Show and decided we were ready to go for dinner although our resy was still hours later. The staff at Bar and Board was very accommodating and sat us hours prior to our resy. We had an enjoyable experience all around. Will be back!

We were a party of 10, one of those chairs was a highchair and an additional spot for a stroller. Manager was annoyed from the moment we walked in and you could see her annoyance throughout our dinner. Our server was great, but food was not. Unfortunately, we sent back a few dishes.
