This was our second time at Bar and Board and it was as good as expected. The ambiance is great, including the ceiling lighting, art work and arrangement of seating. The food was excellent, we chose oysters from the raw bar, mussels from appetizers, a garden salad, pasta entree and dessert. The salad was one of the best I've had and the pasta sauce was so good. The staff was attentive and even kept us up to date on the ongoing playoff football game. I would definitely recommend...
The first time we went to Bar and Board was better: the cocktail "purple rain" was very tasty as well as the Belcourt, and the cold cuts we had last time was also delicious. This time, I was disappointed with the Handstand (it came with crushed ice) and it tasted bland. I should have asked the waitress how it was served before ordering it as I find cocktails with crushed ice dilute the taste as you sip. Would be a good idea for cocktail list to also state how they are...
Food was delicious! It was warm & cozy inside, bigger than I expected. Our waiter, Connor was great. He gave us a heads up that a waitress went home sick so service might be slower than usual but he was just the right amount of attentive. We didn't even notice a problem with service!
