The absolute worst coffee shop! We were charged $26 for 2 coffee drinks- just disgusting! Owner tried to chat us up to distract us and honestly I was too embarrassed to challenge her price even though I couldve done so successfully based on what she disclosed. SO u nless you have a lot of disposable income to spare and dont care then coffee away! For me- never again!!

Coffee is very expensive. $6.95 for a regular coffee not even cappuccino or latte. I’d rather go to Starbucks instead. Very disappointed with the place.

Alyssa is amazing. We cannot say enough good things about this place. She remembered our orders after one trip and was so friendly. The coffee and apple cider are delicious. Great variety of sugar-free and vegan drinks too. Although it was on the pricier side, you get what you pay for! Would recommend to anyone staying in Newport.

Really hate leaving negative reviews, but like others on here: absolutely shocked at this pricing. Came in originally for a small hot coffee. $5. Changed my mind due to being shocked by that, switched to cold brew as it’s listed for $6 on the menu board. Was then charged $1 for ICE on top of that, so with tax, about $7.40. Then handed this cold brew and it was literally a miniature cup. I expressed my confusion on the matter and was accused of being “rude.” Having a perplexed reaction to your outlandish pricing is not rude- it’s warranted. I never raised my voice or insulted you- I simply expressed confusion. Your defensive tirade at my being confused is actually invalidating. You literally ruined my morning with this experience and exchange, and frankly, I see I’m not the only one. Is it really worth making customers feel like garbage for an extra few bucks per coffee? By the way: nail in the coffin is- your coffee also tastes like garbage. There’s no excuse for this. None. Greed will eat you in the end.

Amazing in house made pastry and an excellent espresso. Others in the group had dirty pumpkin latte, coconut mocha, and s’mores latte, they were all very good drinks. Very friendly barista that obviously loves her job!

This was a perfectly normal coffee shop in a touristy area, but a 12oz black coffee was $6.95. I hadn’t even thought to check the price because I don’t think I’ve ever paid anywhere close to that much for a drip coffee. The coffee was fine, but I suspect they don’t get much repeat business with that kind of pricing. A block away, you can get the same or better coffee for $3.

Had coffee earlier in the day but wanted to stop in at another coffee shop before leaving Newport and we didn’t expect that it would cost a small mortgage for just 2 coffees. We ordered pumpkin chai latte and a mocha latte both with almond milk, and both on a menu of options to choose from. She talked the whole time while making our drinks and when she was done and told us the total, we had to ask why it was so much. $23 for 2 coffees and every single thing was an up charge. Almond milk $1, flavor shot $1, but it was a menu item so how do you not account for this already? Crazy. She seemed nice but she really is just distracting you from the crazy price you are going to pay for the tiniest coffee ever. We got mediums which are about the size of a tall (smallest size at Starbucks). There’s better places in Newport that won’t cost this much. - highly recommend nitro bar and kaffeology!

Very cool atmosphere (new location in the Perry Mill). The lady working the counter (possibly the owner) is pleasant and makes good conversation. However, the pricing is high to begin with, and there are upcharges that aren't readily evident. You'll likely find yourself paying $12+ for a cup of coffee. I was really taken aback by that. To make matters worse, I'm not sure if it was the beans or the way the shots were pulled or what, but the espresso was just unimpressive- somewhat acrid and acidic.

The coffee was reminiscent of watered-down Folgers—hardly what you'd expect from a New England coffee shop I had high hopes for. Unfortunately, the experience was soured not just by the lackluster brew but by the barista's attitude. Despite being paying customers (literally bought two overpriced lattes use the restroom), she withheld the bathroom code so long that my child almost had an accident. Her solution? A snarky “You should have planned the bathroom situation better.” Subpar coffee, even worse service.
