Naturally, we visited the spa the morning after a very merry holiday party. Needless to day we, were ready to hit the hangover helper. We ordered the benedict 2 ways. It was just what the Dr. ordered. One of our eggs was slightly undercooked, and without even mentioning it, the manager proactively noticed, and more than took care of us. It is a must stop. Do it.

The 4 stars are because whoever recommended the place oversold it, the food was good but not as amazing as we had expected
The potatoes on the side were my least favorite which is disappointing because potatoes are never not delicious
The corned beef hash was okay
The steak roll up was good

Yummy smoothies.

Average food. Decent prices. Crowded because it's very small and the only place around of its kind. If you're waiting for a table, you have to wait outside. Staff is incredibly rude. I've never experienced that level of downright nastiness.

Imagine: the cold morning wind frosts your nose and you're not quite awake or un-stiffed from a day's worth of travel. You walk in to Franklin Spa and immediately get a embraced by the smell of griddled eggs and churrico, fresh tasty coffee, and a group of locals that have everything a diner could need, including a smile.

I cannot stress enough how this is a can't miss spot. Whether your appetite begs a fluffy stuffed omelette, just-almost-hard eggs in a classic sausage sandwich, a fresh smoothie, or just a decent cup of joe, Franklin Spa is THE place.

Vegetarian options: Fresh and tasty fruits available as-is or to accompany other breakfast classics like oatmeal, french toast or pancakes

Kid-friendliness: Saw a handful of kids eating with parents, and they have crayons available if they need a distraction

Dined here for breakfast at the recommendation of a local. The food and service were both very good. We would definitely go back when in the area!

Simply THE BEST breakfast spot in all of Newport! Been going here for now almost 15 years every time the Navy sends me back for more school. The eggs are always perfect, the avo toast is excellent and my father-in-law said the corned beef hash is better than what he gets in the south! They open at 6 am and there’s usually a line by 9 on weekends so get there early, you won’t be disappointed.

I had a delightful breakfast at Franklin Spa on a beautiful fall morning. The staff were amiable and welcoming, making the experience cozy and inviting. While waiting for my order, I sat outside, enjoying the picturesque scenery. The atmosphere was perfect—crisp air and a peaceful vibe. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. Each bite showed the care and attention to detail that went into it. The great food, friendly service, and charming outdoor setting made my morning special. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Franklin Spa is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and soak in the beautiful surroundings. I’ll be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming breakfast experience!

We stopped in for breakfast and to our surprise we were delighted with a family owned wonderful Portuguese breakfast! The homemade chourico (pronounced sha-reese) was absolutely delicious.
