Went here for a quick bite and to also try out their lobster rolls. Was not really disappointed. The lobster roll could have been a bit better and with more lobster in it, considering the price you par for the lobster rolls. Also had a slice of pizza and it was very good.

Lobster roll was adequate but not served hot like ordered. Felt like it was overpriced. The hostess was very kind and friendly. The tables were high top tables yet there was signs stating not to put feet on yet if you didn’t use foot rest your feet would be dangling!! The French fries were awesome.

Came in for a lobster roll and got that along with a cup of hot corn chowder. The food was really good despite seeing previous reviews and was served quickly. Quirky appearance of the seating area but don’t let it warn you off. This place is great!

I ordered the lobster roll and fries. The roll was $$ but so are all lobster rolls. The lobster was plump and tasty, and the dipping butter was so good. The fries, though! Best fries I have ever had in my life. I would return and try other items on the menu. The owner was very friendly and talking to all of the customers. Very pleasant lunch :).

Stay away. Save your money and go elsewhere. This was a very, very disappointing experience all around. I ordered a large lobster pizza &50 to go, which was extremely dry with a small amount of frozen lobster. I called to complain and the four different people in charge were all righteous and condescending.

Excellent Lobster Bisque soup and Lobster Roll! It was a beautiful day in port. They have a food truck at the dock, but we decided we wanted to sit down. It is about a 10 minute walk. There was a short line to order. It was nice and relaxing to enjoy our lunch on the outdoor patio area. They were a bit short staffed, as they were impatient with answering questions. But the food was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch at the Newport Lobster Shack. It is a food truck that was located on the pier just across from the condo that we stayed in. We had lobster rolls and French fries and both were great. In addition to the food truck (with a nice seating area), this property also sells live seafood and has great views of the harbor. And it is a working pier. In Oct., the food truck was only open 4 days per week; otherwise, we would have gone more often.

Not great. It’s possible their lobster rolls are fine, but being from Maryland and a bit homesick I ordered a crabby patty. Tasted a bit like what I’d imagine a crab cake sandwich from Long John Silver’s would taste like. Super disappointing. Not to mention I ordered for delivery, and it took about two hours to get here. I had to call them before they actually put the order in - I used post mates and after a bit over an hour I called to see if they received my order. She Said ‘the machine was off’ but they’d get on it right away.I’d probably spend your time and money somewhere else. Not terrible, but certainly not great. Especially given the number of great seafood spots around here.
Fresh off the dock, the Shack offers 2 lobster dinners for a great price. I’m embarrassed and proud to say I ate 3.5 lobsters FOR LUNCH. My husband enjoyed all the sides and wonderful lobster bisque. Best value in Newport

Very overrated and expensive for mediocre food - the large lobster roll was actually very small, and the potatoes in the chowder were not done. Very disappointed in my pricey lunch.
