I absolutely love this place it's like home you don't have to have much to be the best I've been coming here since I was pregnant with both of my children and bring them there all the time when I can yeah it might need a touch up but I love the family vibe I get and the food is amazing , an also understand that you treat everyone with respect you get respect 🍽️❤️💯

This is a truly horrible place. They discriminate against people with disabilities that bring in their service animals which is a federal crime. They need to be sued because of this. The videos are all over the internet. And the food absolutely sucks and it is dirty as hell. They need a good lawsuit and to be shut down for a good cleaning. This place needs to be put out of buisiness.

This local place is a hidden gem. Family owned and run with friendly service and real good homefries made with whole potatoes pieces. Came to Newport from out of state and this place is a real find.

I've been coming here off and on for years and still amazing for what Mel and plus family owned are doing for the community
They have good varieties of food here so what I ordered was southwest chicken wrap 🌯 with french fries 🍟
It's a fried chicken breast chopped up on a wrap also it has mayonnaise, lettuce 🥬, tomatoes 🍅 chopped up onions 🧅 also bacon 🥓 🥓 as well on the side I had orange juice 🍊🥤
It was really good and I will always show them love every time I come around to purchase something off their menu so please check it out and you won't be disappointed

Mel’s was a very good breakfast restaurant. I had Mel’s Breakfast Special eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast and pancakes and it was all very good and only $11.95. I don’t usually care for link sausage but these were delicious. We had good service from Mel himself.

Really lovely little authentic cafe. The owner greeted us warmly and was very friendly. We ate breakfast which was country fries, 2 lovely fried eggs, sausages & toast. Superb place for a great breakfast. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.
