Thank you for the great food and service. We enjoyed our 20 year anniversary and dinner at your restaurant. When we return to Newport your place is definitely on the list again! Thank you again! Great food!

Bar lady with black hair thinks she owns the bar is rude and inconsiderate against handicapped personnel

In town 5 nights visiting and My wife and I were out walking and wondering where we were going to get dinner. Stopped in and looked at menu and decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar. I started with 3 oysters and they were so delicious I had to get more. We had Charred octopus (as good as it gets), wicked shrimp, lobster roll and truffled fries. Everything was fresh and exceptional. Highly recommend.

Meh. Vastly Over cooked seafood (lobster) clams and linguine completely over salted. Much better options in area. Oysters only restaurant the rest of the food was below avg. The kid who brought our plates to the table literarily tossed the plates on our table and walked away. Bill $$$

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on a strong recommendation, but unfortunately, our experience was a major letdown.

Service was disorganized and inattentive from the start. Our soup arrived cold and had to be sent back. Despite asking the server to space out our appetizers and salad, everything came out at once, which made the meal feel rushed and poorly timed.

I ordered the swordfish with risotto. The risotto was not only overcooked but also served cold—an unfortunate theme for the evening. We also requested more wine during dinner, but the server didn’t bring the bottle until after we had already finished eating. Throughout the meal, it was difficult to flag anyone down for simple requests like black pepper.

This place came highly recommended to us over the weekend, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment from start to finish.

Midtown Oyster Bar is absolutely fantastic! The seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the oysters are some of the best you’ll find anywhere — perfectly shucked and full of flavor. Their menu goes beyond oysters too, with delicious seafood dishes and flavorful sides that make every visit a treat.

The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot whether you’re out with friends or enjoying a nice dinner. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to recommend the best pairings. If you love seafood, Midtown Oyster Bar is a must-visit!

This is an Oyster bar so I would suggest to stick with the Oysters. We did also ordered Tuna Tartar Tacos, those were good. When our main dishes were brought to the table the young man tossed the plates on the table turn and walked off. We Ordered the Lobster special $55. The Lobster was over cooked. The dinner can with corn on the cob. The corn was burned and dry. We also ordered linguine and clams. To be honest we should have just sent all the food back. The linguine and clams was so over salted the broth tasted as salty as seawater. I just could not eat it. We asked for a few other items. they never appeared. The are so many other better options in the area try those.

The food was very good except for the lobster bisque soup. It really did not have any flavor and no pieces of lobster.

Susan was a great and very fun waitress. We enjoyed her enthusiasm !! Food was great as usual, atmosphere perfect, this is why I continue to book your restaurant when my out of town family comes to visit me !

Overall its a solid meal. The pork belly cracking app is amazing. Drinks are good. We found the lobster roll to have waaaay too much butter and not much meat but fries almost compensate. Lobster and corn chowder is really good but onion soup isnt a rich enough flavor. Salmon bowl got high marks. Burgers are a good choice. No complaints about service or setting.

Took out of town friends for dinner and they loved it. I agree food was delicious- apps (spicy shrimp, Caesar salad and beet salad very yummy). Very accommodating for a change to a dish swapped out squid ink for regular linguine and clams. Excellent dish. Only real food letdown was dessert. The key lime pie is not that. We actually couldn't discern what it was supposed to be? 😂 - cheesecake or a lime flavored custard tart! Not great Anyway highly recommend but it does get busy and loud on weekends. Especially during events like this week boat show, so we forgave our otherwise competent server who delivered our apps & salads but no plates to enjoy it with until we tracked her down.

Suprised that the server didn't know much about the oyster selection, she was pleasant though and they did time the food right for the kids.

Jess the server was awesome... but food and drink were just ok... crusted halibut ok...oysters were average and served in watery ice...martinis were not chilled, no ice crystals on the top of drink; probably stirred, not shaken...
