10/25 - Last night of our NE bus trip so we had to close it out with drinks on the town. Heard live music across the street so off to Pelham's we went. A younger crowd that greated us 'old folks' inviting us to play games & conversation. Drink prices were typical for the area, service was great, a fun place to spend the evening.

We had our sons wedding rehearsal luncheon and the staff were exceptional. I had contacted them months in advance and Abby was so helpful with everything I needed and responded quickly to emails. I'm only taking 1 star away because the welcome signs I paid for were not out when we got there and I was very disappointed in that, but that is the only thing that was disappointing. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go back there again.

We had a terrible experience at One Pelham East. When we walked up the bouncer checked our IDs. I made a lighthearted comment about being old. His response was “take your attitude somewhere f***ing else.” I immediately apologized and clarified that it was just a joke about my age. He repeated “cool, take it somewhere else.”
We went inside but instantly knew we didn’t want to spend our night or money in an environment like that. As we walked away he yelled more profanity at us.. really icky behavior.
The next morning we looked at reviews and were not surprised to see that the bouncers have been mentioned over and over again for their behavior, including one claiming physical harm and many describing sexism and mistreatment of women specifically. Unfortunately our experience only confirmed those reviews.
We will never return and I encourage anyone, especially women, to be aware of the way this establishment allows their security staff to treat customers.

Went to this place with my sister and her friend. My sister was charged $60 even though she only had 2 drinks. She had told me after the fact when she signed for it and tipped. I asked for a refund because her bill should have been $27. After he told me that I must of put drinks on her tab when i payed in cash he then said there was a Terry with the same last name and that why there were extra drinks on her tab (none of us are named Terry). He said that he voided it and that the charge would be back on her card by Monday and then added “is that okay with you boss?” I then went to the manager that was on staff that night to make sure she got the refund and he said the same thing. Well it’s Monday and they charged her the $60 plus tip. So they didn’t void it. So now I have been trying to get a hold of the manager and no answer.
9/9: My sister was refunded and the owner of the bar was super nice and helpful to be able to get that to her. He did say that his staff was not equipped to void a charge at that time so hopefully they will be now and hopefully that bartender is not working anymore because as someone who works as a bartender I know how easy it is to void a transaction.

Absolutely the BEST bar in Newport! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel like a regular. There’s something fun happening every night, from themed events to live music — but karaoke night is my personal favorite. I never miss it! If you're looking for great drinks, good vibes, and an unforgettable night out, this is the place to be!!

Amazing club for dance. We went to enjoy Newport nightlife & we definitely didn't miss any part of it. Only issue: We found no food options
As a local manager I used to recommend this place to all the visitors that come here but now I don't. They give myself and all my clients a hard time, they don't respect locals. It's just a money grab for tourists at this point.

Hands down no questions asked best bar in Newport. HIGH probability of being my favorite bar OF ALL TIME. Good music, great drinks and a warm, welcoming, friendly, fun staff. Brian serves me most of my drinks and is always timely and professional. Have an absolute blast every time I'm here and can't wait to come back more often. Gotta visit One Pelham East when in town!

Terrible, no need to rate food, be very careful, visiting stopped in for lunch, in order to get served you will get no service unless you give a credit card for them to hold in the back, even when paying cash, there’s no telling if they are keeping info, but it is not a trustworthy practice.

One of the most sexist bars I've ever been to. Womens bathroom line takes 10x the time the men's (no line) takes. $20 cover charge for disgusting facilities. Unbelievable that in the year 2025 this still happens. No matter how good the atmosphere could be I'd never go back because the misogyny ruins it.
