I really enjoyed our experience at Sticks and Cones! We were exploring Newport and were in the mood for ice cream. We came across this place and figured why not try it? There was a little bit of a wait, but we also went in the summer, so it makes sense. The ice cream is well worth the wait! I got an ice cream sundae (with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles) and my boyfriend got their Black Raspberry Ice Cream on a cone. The ice cream was delicious and the perfect treat on a summer night! The inside of the shop is so cute! It transports you back in time to a classic ice cream shop. If you're headed to Newport, I definitely recommend Sticks and Cones!

Stopped here after walking down main street for a bit of shopping and exercise. The ice cream was delicious and very creamy. Waffle sticks were made fresh and are delicious. Highly recommend getting those with the ice cream as it's a great combination of flavors.

This is the best place to get ice cream in Newport. They have a great assortment of flavors and options. Had the waffles and ice cream sandwich with chocolate ice cream were amazing. Definitely recommend trying this out!

The ice cream is from Warwick, and was creamy and delicious.Don't go there without getting a waffle on a stick. OMG! So warm and delicious.
Flavor of the month: Mom's Caramel Apple Pie and it was delicious! Many other flavors and options to choose from including bubble waffles, waffle sticks, ice cream sandwiches ect. Hard to find since the sign on the street says Waffles & Cones in red!

Amazing small family run business in Newport, one of the last! Very kind owners, and very cute shop. High quality ice cream made local in Rhode Island, and gelato made right here at the shop! Don’t bother going to a chain, go here and support something special. The prices are more than worth the quality of what you’re getting.

I am not sure if is because I been to Italy and use to great ice cream and gelato but their gelato was the worse I ever have. I had my favorite which is pistachio the texture was of regular ice cream and I could feel small ice rocks in the middle. Probably they had problems using their refrigerator idk not good taste at all.

Ok! Here it goes, while visiting Newport on a hot summer night... ice cream is on my mind! Sticks and cones is the final spot for all of our dessert wants and needs , waffles and ice cream? Doesn't get better than that! Actually, it does.... my first experience with Vangjel the owner was amazing! Such an incredible person with a lovely story to his start. Treated us very well and the ice cream is out of this world! I love the fact that you can get a waffle stick so you get the flavor and bite of a waffle without having a whole one. It's just ingenious.... Vangjel and soon to be owner Christina, good luck !! I wish you nothing but the best of customers because you deserve the best! Family owned and operated , it cannot be beat! Waffles sticks and cones is the spot to go while in Newport !! Kind, courteous , family- orientated , and DELICIOUS!! Couldn't ask for more! Side note: they have sauces to put on the waffles.... Nutella, peanut butter.... so many more! Just check it out :)
