Atmosphere was nice. Not too many people and was a low lighting calm setting.

The food was delicious! Definitely try the chicken and waffles, probably the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had.

Portions were generous and the waitress was kind.

Prices were reasonable for the area it is located.

Olivia was a great bartender, really fast with our drinks, and had great conversation with her. We’re definitely recommending this place to our friends and coming back here the next time we’re in newport.

We went late at night, so there weren’t many people there. The food was okay, we liked the restaurant and our server was so nice. We were very impressed with the whiskey selection.

I enjoyed the Fried Green Tomato Tacos, they were outstanding, the perfect blend of flavors. Service and atmosphere were both wonderful.

great place for a drink and a quick bite to eat. we shared friendly banter with the bartender, ideally located and a good escape from the tourist filled sidewalks during the peak season.

The staff was very friendly, and the ambiance was very fitting to the Polynesian theme. I give them a 5/5 in the presentation because the food does look good, although I was not impressed by their taste. The fried rice had good taste, but it was too wet; and their shrimp and chicken sweet sour dish was extremely salty, to the point that we couldn't eat it. We recommend the oysters and the wings; and their were also very good.

I have been to most of the restaurants in Newport. This will be top of my where to return to list. Enjoyed the exceptional craft cocktails 🍸

The best little wicket pub with such an atmosphere and a great bartender. Was there on a Wednesday afternoon got some GF tots and my daughter for the country tots and the husband for oysters and some top shelf whiskey! So much fun and some really great people. Can wait to head back!!!!

Being big fans of the Tiki bar upstairs that is the “sister” restaurant of the Southern Kitchen, we had high hopes. We sat at the outdoor bar because of the wait for indoor seating. Most of the windows are covered with plastic but there are a few gaps which lets the heat escape and the 2 space heaters at the bar don’t do much to counteract.

It was about 20 minutes before we had our drinks. The bartender needed a barback or some more help from the waitstaff; he was doing everything alone so we can’t really blame him. Multiple people walked out because of how long they were waiting to be served.

The food was decent but a bit lukewarm. Hoping this disappointing experience was because of the tree lighting crowd but at the very least, we definitely don’t recommend the outdoor bar.

Had oysters. A buck-a- shuck night. Eat 2 dozen. They were much smaller than Florida oysters. They were very tasty. The staff were very friendly. Had a great time there.

It was off season- mid-November- and I got the feeling that it was over! Nobody giving a shit. I will be back in May 2025. Get your act together by then.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, we opted to sit outdoors which was nice. Bartender was great and knowledgeable, we tried some smoked wings and some drinks. All around good service.
