RUN (don't walk) to this gem of an establishment. Based on other reviews, it looks like they had a little bit of a bumpy start but boy is their act together now. My boyfriend and I went there this past weekend for a late breakfast and, first of all, the inside is STUNNING. So much thought went into the presentation of the restaurant - it's just a really neat place to be and I found myself looking all around throughout the meal at all of the little details. Upon entering mavens looks clean and well put together! The line at the counter went quick with friendly service. I ordered the "Up Street Dip" and it was very good! The price seemed a bit much but the portions you get explain it all!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated-very elegant and had a nice vintage black and white decor. I ordered the latkes: 2 came with apple sauce and sour cream. They were excellent! Unfortunately, the service was horrible.. The place wasn't crowded, lots of employees on duty. I waited 15 minutes for a waitress to take my order. After, waited for the check; the waitress dissapeared; finally the busy hostess took my payment. Was hoping to try the asiago bagel; won't wait again....read full review
