My waitress was amazing, the staff overall was great. The ambience was older and welcoming to a friendlier time. My veal was good, i found the piece to be on the small side. My gnocchi's were very cold. It kind of made no sense but it was what it was. The waitress did try to make it right but i was turned off at that point. My wifes lobster cardinale was outstanding. I would try the restaurant again, as ive been a few times before but i wouldnt get the veal.

We recently dined at Capriccio for the first time. I wish we had found it sooner.
Experience - the reception was “just OK” and could have been warmer, but the table assignment was good (not great). The atmosphere is otherwise very nice.
Service - the service was excellent.
Food - All of the food was excellent.
Overall, given the experience, the value is good. It was $281, all-in without alcohol, for 5.

Attention Brown Community… do NOT eat here. Robert; our waiter with a voice problem attempted to overcharge by $200 in extra gratuity on commencement weekend. Robert told us he had worked here 15 years but had never eaten here as “would not feel comfortable” - red flag number 1. Service was slow and food was okay. No flambé service tonight. We ordered caviar, foie gras, oysters, arancini balls, beef wellington, lamb, beef stroganoff, veal, and chicken- oh and tiramisù and ice cream for dessert… the entire menu essentially. We also ordered a bottle of chateau neuf de pape and rose moet champagne… good drinks! We had decided we would tip 15% since service was meh… but Robert informed a mandatory service charge for a table of 5… okay we were fine with that.. then he hits us with a bill that has an extra $200 on the tip… too large of an adjustment on top of an already mandatory gratuity to be a simple oversight - and a nice round number as if we wouldn’t notice. Please review your bill, ALWAYS!
